Chie looked over at the cake, clearly impressed. At least her shoes don't smell like rancid blood anymore.

"Shoe powder?" he asked, nnnnot sure he really wanted to know, but shoe powder might come in handy later.

"Yeah, I dunno. The crowd's weird." She didn't really wanna know either.

"Do you want cake?" he asked, thinking maybe he'd get rid of the top part anyway, since now it didn't look like it even belonged on the cake.

"Sure, if you don't mind!" Chie grins. She's never one to turn down food.

He cut her a generous slice, since he doesn't eat sweets, and handed it to her with a plastic fork-- it really did seem like a young kid's birthday party.

Oh yum. Best kind of cake is birthday party cake. "Thanks!"

"You're welcome." He paused. "Hey, how have your fights been so far?"

"Fairly easy, I guess? I teamed up with Knowledge-sensei for one of them, so that one went really easy." Chie started munching on the cake in earnest. Mmmm sweet sugar.

"That's good to hear," he said. After all, he definitely didn't want anyone he knew personally to get hurt, both for sentimental and practical reasons. "Who is Knowledge-sensei?"
