Who: Ishida Uryuu (sewing_prince) & Inoue Orihime (futurehime )
What: Ishida is giving Inoue the present that Abarai left
When: Shortly after this thread.
Where: A bakery.
Warnings: It's Ishida and Inoue, I can't imagine there's much that there needs to be said in the way of warnings.

Orihime walked down the hallway lined with shops looking for the bakery. While she had been on the ship for a while she still wasn't very good at finding things. As she walked she wondered why Ishida-kun had asked to see her. She hoped that nothing was wrong. While they were friends it was uncommon for him to request to see her like this. With her thoughts so wrapped up in why she was looking for the bakery she managed to walk right past it and Ishida.

Ishida raised his head just in time to see Inoue walk by him, and he pushed away from the wall, starting in surprise.

"Inoue-san!" he called, making a move to follow her.

She paused for a second mid-step, that sounded like someone calling her name. She turned around to see Ishida moving towards her. Her face lit up with a smile, forgetting her troubled thoughts as soon as she saw her friend.

"OH! Sorry, I guess I was lost..."

"That's all right, Inoue-san." He gestures slightly behind him to the bakery he had been standing near, "I wasn't sure what you wanted, and I didn't want to assume what you would want." That, and he wasn't sure exactly what she would want, since Inoue's tastes usually lent themselves to be a little peculiar.

"Oh, thats ok! Lets see what they have together." She gave him a smile and started to walk inside, eyes lighting up at the sight of all of the pastries and breads behind the counters.

He follows her inside, one hand going inside his bag to pull out a stuffed rabbit. "Oh, Inoue-san, before I forget.... I was instructed to give this to you after I repaired it." And he holds it out for her to inspect and take.

She turns around to see what Ishida was taking out of his bag. She hadn't been expecting him to give her something. In his hand is a cute little stuffed bunny. It was adorable! She loved cute animals and this one kind of reminded her of Kuchiki-san's artwork.

"AH! It's so cute Ishida-san!"

Instructed? She wondered who would have told him to give her such a gift.

"Instructed?"

Ishida nods, "I found it outside my door with a note from Abarai. Right before he... left."

He holds it out to her to take. He's still slightly miffed at the fact that his friends-but-we-won't-admit-to-that came and went. Although considering the nature of the ship, he couldn't say he was really surprised by this.

Her happy expression changed to a more distant and thoughtful one. So Abarai-kun was gone now too?

"...maybe he and Kurosaki-kun are together then." she said in a distant tone.

"And probably driving whomever is with them crazy." Ishida added, his eyes watching Inoue. He wanted to comfort her, but he didn't know how without looking like an idiot, so he just stood there, watching silently.

He wanted to tell her it'll be all right, but he's not sure he can tell her that. After all, he has no clue where either of their friends ended up going after disappearing from the Thor. "We'll see them again, Inoue-san. They're both too stubborn for us not to."

"Ah, you're right." the joy returning to her voice. Ishida was right, there was no way Kurosaki-kun or Abarai-san would let anything keep them from their friends. She clutched the little rabbit to her chest, giving it a little hug and smiling.

There's a faint trace of a smile on his lips as he watched her, before he makes a move towards the counter. "And knowing them, it'll probably be sooner rather then later," he said, glancing back over his shoulder at her.

"I hope so." She tried not to let her friend's disappearance get to her often, tried to keep that hope that they were safe somewhere else but sometimes it did worry her not knowing where they were. Ishida's words were comforting. If he believed it too then it must be true.

"Oh, maybe we should pick out some cookies?"

"It's Kurosaki." Normally he wouldn't suggest such a thing, but he would if it would make Inoue feel better. It was true, too, Kurosaki could never keep himself from being in the middle of things.

He turns back and orders a few plain chocolate chip ones for himself, reaching into his bag for his card. "And which ones would you like, Inoue-san?" Clearly intending to pay for the both of them.

She stares at the case filled with confections, almost mesmerized by the options. She settles on a chocolate eclair, turning to tell Ishida. That is when she notices he's pulling out his card.

"Ah, no Ishida-kun you don't have to do that!"

"It's all right, Inoue-san." He glances back at her. If he had been anyone else, he'd be smiling at her, but there is the slightest quirk to his lips. "Consider it my treat."
