Riza tried to keep her cool as his hand settled on her, though her insides felt like something horrible and pleasant was happening to her organs. A tongue of flame crept around her neck, but didn't show on her cheeks. She hoped she looked more like an embarrassed new girlfriend than a faker.

"Not at all. If you want to sit down, I'll get it for you in a minute." Trying to act natural, her hand drifted up to his shoulder. "I'm still serving these lovely women."

"Is that so? Well then, I don't want to keep you from doing your job," he said, flashing her an amused smirk. After all, those women--if they could be called that--were quite the annoying group of blobs. Not to mention, he was having quite an amount of fun tricking them.

"I'll be over there, then," he added, nodding to a near by table. "You already know what I like." Suggestive? Absolutely. But, he was merely referring to the drink. Of course...

She returned his smile a little suggestively before turning back to her customers. Now the blobs were completely wordless with envy, and simply snapped their orders at her, drawing themselves up haughtily. Their audacious arrogance made Fullmetal look like an agreeable little lamb.

Riza took her sweet time taking their requests to the kitchen, as she wondered with a hint of panic what Roy expected from her next. Finally she stopped by Roy's table just as the ice in the Blobwomen's drinks was beginning to melt. Placing a neat whiskey in front of him, she choked (as breathily and girlishly as she could, which wasn't very) "Hope you like it, baby."

Roy couldn't help but chuckle at those lovely, envious, blobs, but he looked up when Riza came by with his drink. "Thanks, sweetheart." He took a sip of the drink before speaking again. "So tell me, when do you get off work?"

She tucked a whisp of hair behind her ear. "In a little while," Riza estimated. "Why would you want to know that?" For some reason, this whole situation was beginning to make her a little nervous.

"Perhaps you and I could go out to dinner. After all, we've barely had the chance to catch up." And, not to mention, there were some lobster women who needed to see their relationship.

If his suggestion surprised her, she didn't show it. "That would be nice." Surreptitiously, she peaked over her shoulder at the blob women. "I think I could get off after I finish serving them." Only then did she remember the tray of fizzy, colored drinks in her hand. "I better bring these over, then," Riza added.

"Of course," he responded, glancing down at the drinks on the tray. "I wouldn't want to get you in trouble. Besides, the faster you serve them, the faster we can get out of here."

In a (very efficient, very evenly paced) flash, Riza had left the beverages with the gelatinous customers and returned to the side of her superior's table. "Ought I go home and change, si-- I mean, dear?" She wasn't sure if her simple waitress garb, a short black skirt and a neat apron, would be appropriate for wherever Roy was about to whisk her off to.

Roy glanced over her outfit with a raised eyebrow. "Well, I suppose you could change into something more comfortable. After all, I don't want other men on this ship looking at you too much."

That was obviously just subordinate-protectionism. Clearly. Otherwise, what could he be getting at? "Whatever you say, sir."

[ooc: Magical ~time-skip-to-the-restaurant~ times? because I would go insane if we had them go allll the way to her room and then allllll the way to the restaurant 8|]

Of course it was, what else would it be?

Roy entered the restaurant with a smirk. How perfect, the lobsters were still there. At least now he could make it known to them. "You have to admit," he said to his Lieutenant as they were being led to a table. "That this plan wasn't that bad. After all, you're getting a free meal."

"You really are a strategical genius, sir." she said, only a little sarcastic. Eying the great crustaceans warily, Riza put her hand on his sleeve. "These aliens really give me the creeps," she said, an explanation for her forward gesture.

He was a little taken aback by her gesture, but looked at her before taking a glance at the sea creatures. They certainly were eying them suspiciously. Not to mention, a few of them looked like they were about to use those claws in some fashion.

"Don't tell me you're actually scared, Lieutenant," Roy joked, though he was now more aware of their presence. "You were in the military, after all."

"I'm not scared, merely disconcerted. I'm far less used to claws than guns." Her fingers tightened just slightly on his arm. Just then, one of the hostesses appeared literally out of thin air, causing Riza to jump about five feet in the air.

"Relax, Lieutenant," he said, no longer smiling. "They aren't going to do anything." He moved his hands into his pockets and put on his gloves. Of course, he would never attack unless provoked, but he figured it may help calm Hawkeye down.

With that, he followed the hostess that approached them to one of the tables, staying close to Riza and allowing her to hold onto his arm.
