Ukoku probably made an odd sight: a head resting on a pair of arms sticking out from the ball pit. He looked pretty comfortable, all matters - including the screaming kids at the distance - concerned, with the type of carefreeness reserved for lazing about in a beach chair. He wished he could have bought a glass of brandy on the rocks with him, but having to get a new bottle for a refill later on was too much trouble when he wanted to be lazy.
Never mind that he could not afford an actual bottle of brandy at the moment, nor was that in itself a loss. Vices were expensive - he wondered when it would come to a point that he would start having to count the number of sticks that he smoked in a day - but entertainment was cheap.
He watched as one of the kids fell into the pit head first, his feet consequently sticking up in the air. Too bad the flooring of the pit wasn't made of concrete.
