No disease is incurable )
[She'd given him enough of the details for him to piece together what was happening, and he went through them in his head as he washed his hands in the sink. They were going to be operating on her FBI agent friend, who was one of the infected. Extract a sample colony. From that, thye could derive a serum and, if it worked, distribute it throughout the ship. It was almost nostalgic for CR-S01. Had it not been for the foreign ward and the Vogons, he'd feel like he was back in Portland, fighting against Rosalia just like before.]
[He paused for a moment, feeling the water run over his hands. Rosalia... He thought he'd never have to deal with that disease ever again, and yet... His past continued to haunt him, reappearing at the most unfortunate of times. He frowned slightly at the thought. No...he couldn't let this disease keep harming people. He'd see to it that this disease passed from this world, and all other worlds.]

[The OR was set up. Michael was already inside, stripped down and on the table, covered and hooked up to each necessary machine. Scalpels, forceps, tray, syringe, drain... yes, it seemed like everything was there. Her eyes turned towards the surgeon at the sink]
Dr. Sartre...

Dr. Kimishima.

[He had been sick for so long... With all the technology, they were still going in blind.]

[He remembers the operation on Naomi; the operation he perfromed himself. If it's similar...]

[She walks over to the sink, washing her hands.]
On that note, there's something I need to ask.

[Blurry images was never a good sign. That usually meant diving in blind.]
Yes?

I would like to perform the operation. Diving in like this could be deadly, but... I should be able to keep it from getting out of hand.
Will you assist me?

[At her request, he nods solemnly.]
Of course I will. This is my burden as well.

Thank you.
[She enters the OR, looking at their patient. Her eyes were steely, no emotion. No time for those to get in the way...]

Alright... We're starting the operation. Applying disinfectant at the point of incision...
[The aliens nod and she proceeds. Disinfect, scalpel, incising... blood. Abnormal amount... blood blocking the image, that would make sense.]

[He pulls the drain over, using it to remove all of the excess blood. No wonder the image was blurry...]

Exposing the heart... [Damn thing was just waiting to burst... had to be the size of a small walnut]
We'll remove the colony quickly and handle the source of the bleeding. What are the vital readings?
Falling under 60.
Dr. Sartre, finish draining and pass me the syringe. I need the stabilizers and vasoconstrictor.
Reply
[There's a lot of blood, but he manages to drain enough away for the time being to recieve the syringe and the required vials containing the stabilizers and vasoconstrictors. He hands both to Naomi, before he has to drain away more blood.]

Vitals now?
67, doctor.
[Alright, keep going. Vasoconstrictor... scalpel... forceps... yes, just what she needed; the colony sticking to the heart. Blood is coming back... Carefully...]
Get the tray ready...
