Hitsugaya, after his month on the ship, was still in his disgruntled way about it. He certainly didn't take too kindly from being thrust the moment of stabbing Hinamori through to being on a spaceship. It left a bitter taste constantly on his tongue. There was never anything he could do about it, of course, but in a way it was what led Hitsugaya to be more reclusive than before. It was Hinamori and Matsumoto, really, who got something of his more social side out. And with neither here and no real knowledge of what happened to her FukuTaichou and Hinamori... Well, Hitsugaya wasn't sociable to say the least.

Which made the job he'd taken up amusing: investigating. True enough, Hitsugaya was a great investigator. He could follow the trail of something and, as long as he didn't allow his own bias in the way, figure out the culprit in a relatively quick manner. That is, again, of course if he didn't let bias get in the way. Thankfully, bias wasn't a matter aboard a ship full of inhabitants he would likely never meet all of ( ... )

Ishida stayed silent, watching the Shinigami as he sat the ice cream on the table, glancing in his direction, but didn't move to do anything else. After a few long minutes, the Quincy moved closer, taking his own look at the places around them, but still keeping his senses trained on the Shinigami.

It wasn't that he didn't trust the 10th Division Captain, but he wasn't the type the walk up to Shinigami and start a nice, friendly chat with them. To be honest, the only ones he might find himself able to talk to without some other event triggering the conversation would have been Abarai or Kuchiki. At least of the ones that were from Soul Society at any rate.

Hmph. Since it didn't seem the Quincy was going to do anything, Hitsugaya sat. Even as he did, of course, his senses weren't dropped from watching. While he'd never spoken to the Quincy, or if he did it was very little, he trusted the judgment of Urahara who had never said anything poor about him in his memory. And, although he didn't admit it all the time, he trusted Kurosaki's judgment in the matter as well.

Even so, Hitsugaya wasn't one to go out of his way to say something unless the matter pinged him. If the Quincy kept this up, Hitsugaya would speak. For now, he took a bite of the melting icecream.

Ishida's eyes trailed towards Hitsugaya when he heard the other take a seat, but otherwise, he said nothing. He silently read over the board for one of the places, finally settling on a drink of some sort. A cheap one, since he was currently working on saving up his credits so that he could afford a new place away from the Espada that was currently taking up residence in the same room as him.

After a moment, he received his drink, and headed back towards Hitsugaya. He paused, briefly, wondering if perhaps he might be able to pick the Captain's brain on the Espada (assuming, of course, that the wormhole situation was in effect and that the Shinigami wasn't from when the Bounts had evaded or anything), but figured that the Captain probably wouldn't share anything with him even if he did ask.
