[He's probably picked a spot with access to water, both because it's the way he likes to travel and because it's his natural turf, of course. No ninja with Suiton affinity likes fighting high and dry; can if needed is a far cry from will whenever.

The clean scent of the river doesn't disguise the chicken, though, and he's grinning as he climbs out, sloughing off water and conjuring up clothing.]

[There's a snicker and he crouches down casually to take the proffered chicken, as though that's what he's come for all along.]

I'm gonna guess no? At least I wasn't looking to get the drop on you.

[He has that much courtesy at a first meeting, at least (most of the time), but there's no guarantee for the future. In the meantime the chicken's pretty damn good -- no KFC in Naruto world, oops.]
