[When the door 'ping!'s politely and announces a guest, Hakkai gets up from where he was sitting on the sofa to approach the entryway. He could just tell the door to open and allow his visitor inside, but that strikes him as extremely impolite. He prefers to be a gracious host, especially when the company is decent.

The door opens at his approach, and he greets Zexion with his usual soft smile.]

Good evening, Zexion. Please come in.

Very well, thank you. And yourself?

[He steps to one side to allow Zexion room to exit the entryway and enter the apartment proper, and gestures for the other man to precede him into the living room.]

He's showering, currently. He's getting ready to go out.

[he follows Zexion, and pauses on his way to continue on to the kitchen.]

Can I get you anything to eat or drink?

[The question is, of course, a mere formality, because of course he's going to produce both food and drink regardless of Zexion's answer. But this is how the courtesy game is played, and they both appreciate it too much to skip it.]
