[Asch had waited a full day before attempting to retrieve his sword. He'd misplaced it the previous week when he'd gotten into a fight with devil!Jade, and now he was cursing himself for yet another lapse in judgment. Of course the replica had to be the one to pick it up.]
[The first time he'd tried early in the morning when the dreck was sure to be asleep (and hopefully during his brain-melting rituals wouldn't be able to detect his presence), but the door had been locked.]
[And so Asch had waited a day longer, looked up where he was working for the month, and tried to determine when a window of opportunity might arise during which the door would be cooperative and Luke would be busy filming a children's program.]
