Today, she had been working on sculpting, but she still wasn't understanding what the boss meant by modern. Modern on the ship? Modern from your time? She wished he had been more specific. Either way, Amaterasu was heading back to her actual room for today when she noticed someone slumping against the wall. They seemed in pain.

Quietly, she approached them.

... Ah, it was Atem.

"What's wrong, young man?"

Atem's head lifted at that voice. His eyes moved, reaching hers, a soft look of ... doubt? Uncertainty? Either way, he immediately straightened up the best he could, though his hand was still lightly bracing the wall. He was fine, really. Sure he was.

"Nothing." He was usually good at lying at whatever circumstance he needed to, but he'd already been caught. Still, he'd try. He didn't need anyone worrying about him.

She looked back calmly, her ears lowering a bit. She didn't understand why people tried to hide their pain like this. Her eyes flicked briefly to his hand and she shook her head.

"You're unwell. Have you been failing to take care of yourself?"

There was something oddly familiar about this person. But he hadn't spoken to a human- ... alien? like her yet. Not with ears like those. Or had he? Trying to remember anything made his head hurt worse. It seemed he'd have to do something about this situation if his own powers of deduction were failing because of it.

"My health is my own concern." His reply was calm, though still said with that hand curling slightly against the wall. He'd never been in the habit of worrying people, or letting people worry about him- Even as a young prince. It just didn't sit right with him. "And I'm fine."

"You are not." It was a simple, stern yet gentle reply. Now that she was here, she wasn't just going to leave him like this. Amaterasu made no move to leave.

This woman wasn't going to go away. That was evident. And it was also becoming increasingly obvious that if he didn't pull himself together he'd have no case to make her do so. She was concerned with him, though he wasn't quite sure why. Just a nice person on the ship. He'd met one or two. There was bound to be more.

Something about her was inviting, though. He couldn't put his finger on what it was. "I'll be fine." Would changing the wording help? He looked her over again.

Young- ...had she called him young? It was a common phrase, to be sure. And he didn't exactly look old. "Have we met?" Some things were falling into place, though they were slower than he would have liked. And he was kicking himself for that.

"..." She didn't say anything. He'll be fine? So he had made himself ill in some manner of speaking.

... Hm? Oh, a question.

"Yes, we have spoken before."

With that there was no other person it could have been. Everyone except for Kir had been some sort of human (even if dead). A soft grin came over his lips with a light tilt of his head.

"Is this your real form?" He should have figured it out earlier and he was damning himself for not doing so. He'd have to be more on his game in this place. How else would he get things back to the way they were supposed to be?

She smiles back a bit; very good for getting it Atem.

"It's as close as I can get within a physical form."

It would have been sooner, he was sure. But this headache was killing him. It didn't leave much room for anything else. However, with the subject effectively switched from him to her, he was in a better mood already.

"It's an honor to see you- in any form." Though she might not have been someone who'd protected him, someone he worshiped, he still knew the importance of it all. He wouldn't be rude to someone like that. And she was nice besides. He had already grown a small affection for her, probably aided by the fact of what she was.

A small look around. They were... right. "Were you heading back to your chambers? Don't let me disturb you." Of course not. Because he was fine, obviously.

"That's very kind of you to say." She bowed slightly, smiling, but then that faded. Her ears pointed up and she turned her head in the direction of her room, but still doesn't move. Amaterasu shook her head.

"That can wait. Have you been pushing yourself? You need rest."

And food, the knot in his stomach suddenly reminded him, but thankfully made no noise towards. That's what it was. He wasn't taking care of himself because he hadn't had to, in such a long time.

"I guess." He admitted, though still was smiling as if it weren't a big deal. Because it wasn't. He wasn't about to drop dead.. right? Of course not. "I've just been so wrapped up in everything, trying to find out more, meet more people... my own needs were put in the back of my mind." Which was partially true. He just hadn't remembered them yet, that was all.

"You'll make yourself sick if you continue on like that. You have time to meet others and understanding everything will take a while."

"I'm starting to understand that." Again. It had been a while. But that was a folly of a statement to make. He didn't want to try and explain what he'd been through. So he tried to seamlessly cover it up with a transition.

"It was foolish of me to try, anyway. New enviornment... got the best of me." Also true, to an extent.

"Of course. ... Would you like something to eat? I was just going to get some to take to the Gardens."

Chi, Shin, and Hayabusa were getting bigger; keeping some food in the room was becoming necessary after Youmu got mad about the fish.

That knot coiled tighter. A small wince on his features. What was food even like around here? "I couldn't impose. Really, it's alright." In the end his pride would always win out. If he was going to go find something to eat he'd do it on his own. No need to trouble anyone else. He could do it.
