So Ikuto walked. It wasn't the same as exploring the world as he had been doing before arriving here, but it would have to be enough for now. He still wasn't anywhere near used to things. Sharing an elevator with someone that had green skin and five eyes still surprised him, and so did visiting new worlds. Adapting was difficult, but it had to happen eventually.
But then familiarity hit him. He could spot the sound of a violin from anywhere, and he immediately headed toward the direction from which it came. It was an... interesting style, for lack of a better word, but it was still a violin. Once he spotted Sherlock, he stopped before getting too close to him. He didn't want to intrude until the player was done

The figure hadn't moved forward, so it obviously wasn't someone too terribly displeased with his playing. Simple observation, then.
Well, that wouldn't do. That was his forte, after all.
Sherlock quieted his violin; it still sang an odd melody, but it was low enough to be spoken over.
"Sorry if it's not a sound you're quite used to," he said a little unenthusiastically. "Not in the mood for concertos."

Ikuto shrugged, not moving from his spot. He was at least somewhat close enough to still hold a passable conversation with the guy.
"It's attention grabbing," he replied, trying his best to hide his amusement. He listened to the soft playing for a moment longer before adding anything else, studying the notes.
"Enjoying yourself?" he finally said.
Reply
"This is done less for enjoyment and more for thinking. Hard to get everything situated in the mind all at once, being new and all," he explained a little dryly.
"But there might be some enjoyment in it," he added after a moment. He picked up his bow again and instead waved it in Ikuto's general direction. "You have an interest in music?"
Reply
"Music isn't something that's always used for enjoyment, so I can understand that."
His tone sounded distracted; Ikuto's eyes fell to the violin, and he gave a small hum of approval. But there was something else that caught his attention: "How new is 'new'?"
Reply
"That sounds like a statement that comes from someone who appreciates the instrument," he said, noticing Ikuto's interest in the violin he held.
"Been here for a couple of days," Sherlock replied. "Still re-acclimating to the new environment."
Reply
It was the truth; his sister is a singer, and his father a world famous violinist. He was just downplaying how much he enjoyed the instrument.
Just a few days? Well, around this time new arrivals do tend to appear.
"That may take awhile. Unless you're used to aliens."
Reply
"Not particularly," Sherlock replied. "Not many aliens on my version of Earth. Actually, it may have been fairly dull compared to the stories of others brought here."
