[After the encounter with Kaoru, Soul had but no choice but to bring Maka back to his place in order for her to rest. She was completely drained, both in mind and body, and there was no way he felt comfortable taking her back to her apartment and leaving her there. At least here, in his room, he knew she was safe under his direct watch.]

[In the meantime, while she slept, Soul took it upon himself to make some hot tea. If anything, Maka could drink it when she woke up -- pretty sure liquids were good for the body in situations such as this or something. Once the tea is ready, he prepares a cup and heads back to his room to check on his Meister.]

[Entering and shutting the door behind him quietly, Soul walks over to the bedside and looks down at Maka.] Still sleeping, huh. [Which is no surprise, considering what she just went through. He lets out a small sigh.] You can be such an idiot sometimes.

[She grumbles to him, ducking herself more in the covers.]

I didn't know she had that kind of power.

[Slowly, Maka sits up and the first thing she notices(besides a tiny dizzy spell) is her hair no longer in pigtails. Huh. He probably undid them for her. She can't help but to smile, however. Maka hates sleeping in bed with her hair up -- he really does know her.]

[She takes the cup.]

[Then sips it slowly.]

[Soul takes a seat on the side of the bed, remaining quiet as Maka drinks her tea. He doesn't quite know what to say, thinking that maybe it would be best to avoid the topic of what they just went through altogether.]

[But the silence was becoming deafening.]
