[ Sakura had a brief moment to herself, lots of notes on a certain homunculus, and vague worries in her heart over some old guy who turned into a bat for a while.

All of these are totally valid reasons she comes knocking at his door. TOTALLY. It's not that she's looking for old people to respect, uh-uh, and not her driving curiosity or wish to apologize while pointing out if Bruce hadn't insisted on being alone he likely wouldn't have been as easy of a target for Chouno.

Of course.

That all being said, knock knock. It's polite to not barge in 8| ]

[It was weird to hear a knock without Ace barking his head off.]

[He was a bit surprised to see who it was, though]

Hm?

[always polite, that one]

Mr. Wayne?

[ she smiled, offering him an envelope ]

I wanted to bring you a copy of what I worked on when you were out of sorts. No luck with Ace, so far?

[he takes it. he's about to mention that whole stealing-the-guide thing, but thinks that maybe this is not the time or place]

I've had more people report on his location over the month, but not much.

[except your boyfriend found him. yeaaaaaaah]

[ what boyfriend 8| ]

I hope you hear something more conclusive soon.

[ not that she has any idea Sasuke has the damn dog lmfao that is so horrible ]

Do you know if Chouno's been tracked since his release?

So do I.

[he spent like a month befriending him it's adorkable]

The police are aware, but don't seem to consider him much of a threat.

I have a feeling that's a stance they end up taking for someone's sense of practicality more often than I'd like, with the refugees.

[ She doesn't see Chouno as being less of a threat, not with the things he'd done. Which is why she'd brought the paperwork.

It shouldn't just be with her, or whomever had been copying over her shoulder. ]

They might not be taking him seriously, considering his new choice of clothes. Or lack of them.

[and Bruce knows they just get more dangerous with their stupid costumes B|]

Wardrobe is hardly a reason to classify someone as a threat, or a lesser threat.

[ Costumes were another kind of illusion. Who bought that as a threat classification? I mean. HAVE YOU MET NARUTO? ]

I know it, but people just roll their eyes at the eccentric weirdo, murderous or otherwise.

[speaking of HE SHOULD DO THAT SOMETIMES when's he gonna meet your teammates :C]

[ she frowns. YES TEAM SEVEN SHOULD descend upon Bruce somehow, one of these days 8| ]

Doing nothing only ensures they'll be caught unawares by whatever he plans next. Appearing ridiculous doesn't add up to someone you want to dismiss out of hand.

[ but he'd said he agreed already, so this isn't meant for Bruce; she's just uncomfortable with the idea. ]

Then again, he's not the only one making the gossip mill for being over the top and dangerous.

[ ALSO NOT HAPPY ABOUT THIS. THAT. God what is with the murderers among the refugees? ]

That's because, unfortunately, he's not the only one who's over the top and dangerous.

[annoyed face, police are incompetent, blah blah blah vigilantism is truly the answer to everything, you know the one]

They need more support- above what a few humans can provide- if we don't want this to become a pattern.

[aka JLU IN SPACE except it was in space the first time]

[ lmao yes, she begins to know the one ]

What kind of support did you have in mind? You sound like you're talking about something you've dealt with before.

[ maybe this is related to the batman thing. WHY ARE BATS BIG WITH YOU or why was that moment big with you? ]

We're on a ship full of, for lack of a better general term, metahumans. We have neighbors who can read minds, ones with powers helpful for fighting and for healing, and that's just the ones I know of. There's no reason we couldn't use their abilities to their full advantage.

[and a little bit of an in-joke for him, played off as a sarcastic comment on his world:]

It was hard to miss, considering they were essentially the reason the planet survived as long as it did.

[OH YEAH RIGHT HE WAS MEANING TO ASK HER ABOUT THAT I JUST... FORGOT ASDFAJSDF]

[he'll work it in here somehow]

[ Sakura is all WHAT IS METAHUMAN? She quirks up an eyebrow; are they having this conversation in the doorway lmao since in theory she fits part of that described bull, and she knows Bruce knows it. ]

I agree. [ said casually, and... carefully. ] Though I wonder how well the established law enforcement would take to refugees attempting to manage anything more than refugees. Especially given some of the more public disturbances lately.

[ ahaha sarcasm, oh sarcasm; she's being a bit right back, also slightly NNNGH because she has in fact checked the records for her world ]

So what ended the planet? Have you checked what Thor's records say?

[...yes B| and you gotta ask to get an answer, Sakura.]

I don't see a reason why they aren't on the force in the first place, aside from perhaps a lack of interest.

[which of course didn't really answer her comment, and isn't what he's talking about anyway obviously.]

Apparently someone thought it looked tacky.
