Fai had finally decided to visit the garden after being released. Ever since his little spat with Amaterasu, he felt as if they had grown distant...as if a wall had sudden sprouted between the two. He knew they still couldn't fully trust one another. There were still many secrets between them... But, perhaps this just meant their relationship was growing...

It was hard to tell. Fai wasn't an expert of relationships. That's why when he noticed Amaterasu, he came to a halt. All he could do was watch her.

"Mother's here... Perhaps she wouldn't mind."

She's holding her reflector, the flames burning faintly around the edges, but the she frowns. That would be too much burden; they had just met and... well, she did know when a soul moved on.

Slowly, she sits up again, taking pause. All this thinking can make someone realize how much was gone already. It did not help that she had become quite distant with some of her acquaintances on Thor.

Fai pauses again. He had overheard her... It seemed she wasn't alone on this ship. How fortunate... Finally, he decided to step forward, his expression remaining passive as he does so.

"I was unaware your mother was on board..."

"...!"

She glances back, surprised. How long had he been standing there? Hesitantly, Amaterasu nods.

"It... was a recent discovery. This was the first time I actually met her face-to-face."

Still didn't mean much.

"...That must have been quite the discovery then."

He steps a little closer, taking note of her surprise. She must have been deep in thought not to have heard him.

"There are those who don't even know their parents faces."
