Ran Fan tapped softly on the door of 5-2, and then came in, feeling Ling's chi not far away. There were some heavy thoughts on her mind indeed. Namely, the chaos that had happened because of Envy pretending to be a lady and becoming Jean Havoc's girlfriend. Envy had told Ran Fan that both Ling and Greed knew about it, but did nothing to stop what was happening-- even though it was a situation in which Jean Havoc, a normal human being with no alchemic powers of any sort, could have been attacked by Envy easily.
Ran Fan knew that Greed and Ling had no relationship with Jean Havoc, but she could not help but wonder. Where did loyalties really lie? What did her master and prince think about all this? It was frightening to think that he possibly did not care, as Envy had said... she wanted to believe in him, trust him.
"Ling," she said quietly, using his familiar name, as he had asked her to start doing. "I am here."
