Good job that man. Boy. Ghost. Thing. willhavewings May 19 2010, 20:12:34 UTC
[Every hero should respond to the cries of a woman in trouble from within a warehouse, right?

A shame it's just a recording, but still.]

[Danny had been just about to finish up his patrol for the night, when he heard a scream from the warehouse. Without stopping to think about it any further he sped off in that direction. He quickly phased through the wall of the building and looked around cautiously.]

[And it was a good choice to go through the wall, as, hanging over the door is a giant cockroach, that happens to have a human head jutting out lower, wearing an orange executioners hood. Waiting for someone come through the door to pounce them.]

[Well, this looked suspicious. Quickly, before it could notice his presence Danny powers up an ectoblast in his hand and tosses it at the creature.]

You know, situations like this really bug me.

AH!

[Clyde loses his grip, taking a fairly minor wound and falling to the ground with a thud, jumping back up to his feet quickly.]

...The pun hurt more than the attack.

[Danny shrugs and phases the rest of the way into the room.]

Call it a warning shot. Information first and all that.

I call it a terrible pun.

[Clyde switches off his recorder, his voice slightly irritable. What was up with the weirdoes on this ship?]

That too. [Danny agrees cheerfully.]

So what's your deal? And why the lame trap? Cuase let me tell you, this definitely ranks as one of the dumber ones I've seen.

Oh? It succeeded in drawing you in, and were you incapable of going through walls like most people, I dare say it would be very effective.

[He's totally ignoring the 'what's your deal' part.]

...Yeah. You definitely get a -5 on your originality score.

This is not art. It is dirty work that must be done. Anything that is effective is fine with me.

[Clyde is perfectly happy to keep chatting for now, all of his eyes slowly scanning the warehouse, to take in possible hiding places or escape routes. That blast -he had known he was out of his league the second he had been hit.]

And just what exactly is that work?

[Danny is slowly drifting closer. An observant eye might notice that wisps of green energy are already starting to gather in his hands.

I do not feel you will like the answer.

[Clyde is an observant fellow indeed, and thus is readying himself, legs tensed to leap up onto the ceiling at an attack.]

If it is has anything to do with setting traps for helpful strangers I'm going to have to go with yes.

[And with that Danny launches a an ectoplasmic ray from his hands, this one much more powerful than before.

[Cylde was ready, and the second Danny's hands moved, he was in the air, clinging to the ceiling. If he ran straight for his best escape option, a window, he'd just get shot down, so his lower legs grabbed a crate each, easily throwing them at the ghostly hero.]
