So, with Russia being decidedly M.I.A. somewhere (let's say he'd gotten lost in a sunflower shop, shall we?), he'd forgotten to sign up for a job. But that was alright. The job system was really the kind of oppressive system he'd promised to fight off so the less involved he was the better. Besides, not having a job really freed up his time for other things.
Such as being a door-to-door communist!
Yep. He was a door-to-door communist, knocking on doors and handing out manifestos the same way Jehova's witnesses did. Only he was a lot more forceful.
Anyway, one of his regular places to frequent was the ship's jail. The captives were much more likely to listen to what he said-- mostly because they couldn't shut any doors on him and couldn't go anywhere else. Either way, it worked for his benefit. And theirs. He was sure of that.
So when one such day when he found out that one of the few people who continually protested against him was locked up and ready to convert, how could he pass the opportunity up

Maraich carefully got as close to the lasers as he could without burning himself. He was certain one if his friends must have come for him, so when he saw Russia walking down the hall he assumed he must have been there for someone else. After all, what would he want with Maraich? All they did was argue.
Russia chose not to say anything until he was sitting down outside the cell's vicinity. He plopped the books down in front of him and sat down on the makeshift pile.
"No, sister is out ofn ship doing job! Russia is here to do his."
Beware of the smile he has on his face, Maraich. Beware.

He quirked an eyebrow suspiciously, "What are you doing?"
