are you ready.........to do some paperwork? gunpowderreason April 19 2010, 02:50:40 UTC
[Whatever was happening outside, things in 5-1 were pretty normal. Hawkeye was seated at the couch with a cooling mug of tea and mounds of papers piled on the coffee table, steadily making her way through notation after notation. Hayate tumbled out of her room full force, going to town on the squeaky toy Sergeant Fuery had bought him. Having already learned to mentally block the sound, for several minutes she paid him no mind as he rolled around with the ball like a young puppy on the common area floor. Eventually Hawkeye realized she was having an extremely hard time concentrating on the forms in front of her, and that her attention was being draw time and again to her suddenly exuberant dog. This was very unlike her, but the harder she tried to concentrate, the more often she found herself watching Hayate make an utter fool of himself.]

[After a while, she realized she was smiling, her work completely neglected in favor of laughing out loud as Hayate flipped himself completely over to narrowly avoid smashing into the couch as he raced around.]

[Something was very wrong.]

I think you mean "paperwork", Lieutenant youresoshort April 19 2010, 03:05:18 UTC
(Roy came out of his room when he heard the laughter, more to investigate than anything. It wasn't often that the Lieutenant laughed so freely. There was definitely a disturbance in the force somewhere.

He yawned as he came out, as he had been taking a nap before. A light one, mind you, too much had happened lately to make him a heavy sleeper. Ruffling his hair slightly, he looked over at the Lieutenant.)

Something funny, Lieutenant?

I am pretty sure I mean paperwork, actually... gunpowderreason April 19 2010, 03:27:21 UTC
[She was pretty much laughing in earnest now, doing her best to contain it behind her hand and shaking shoulders. Not trusting herself to answer properly, she gestured at Hayate--who obediently hammed it up and made a dramatic dive for his new toy, complete with something that looked suspiciously like a tuck-and-roll--and looked up at the Colonel.]

[Oh sir your hair is sticking in a million directions...]

[Her battle to contain herself was finally lost.]

;-; FINE, BE THAT WAY youresoshort April 19 2010, 03:58:05 UTC
(He blinks and looks over to watch Hayate and just stares at him for a little bit after the dramatic move.

Then, he chuckles, which soon turns into laughter as he kneels down to pet the dog.)

You're quite the soldier. Perhaps I should put you on my team.

But...I LIKE paperwork... :( gunpowderreason April 19 2010, 04:06:40 UTC
[When Hayate immediately dropped to the ground and flopped over onto his back, Riza scooted off the couch to join the duo on the floor. SOMEONE NEEDED PUPPY BELLY RUBS AND THEY WEREN'T COMING FROM ANYONE BUT MOM.]

He is far too cute to be a soldier, sir.

[his wittle leg does that thumping thing that doggies do when getting awesome belly rubs. SO CUTE, HAYATE.]

i mean...I GUESS we can do paperwork youresoshort April 19 2010, 04:26:45 UTC
(He chuckles as he sits back and watches. Aww, HAYATE WHY ARE YOU SO CUTE)

Exactly, Lieutenant. He would be perfect for a surprise attack. No one would expect anything to happen.

You never like the same things I like Colonel :< gunpowderreason April 19 2010, 04:36:05 UTC
[For his part, Hayate relishes all the attention and Hawkeye's face starts to hurt from smiling so much. It's just not natural.]

Win over your enemies with his charm, sir? How terrible of you to put my poor dog in such danger.[BELLY RUBS ARE THE BEST THING...] Who would charm the mean nasty Fuhrer? You would! That's right!

It's hard to like paperwork, Lieutenant ;-; youresoshort April 19 2010, 04:58:16 UTC
(Roy laughs as he moves, readjusting his position on the couch instead as he looks at the two of them. It was not every day the Lieutenant acted like this...perhaps he should call Fuery in to take a picture.)

That's right, even someone like the Fuhrer wouldn't expect something like that. (He leans down to scratch behind Hayate's ear.) He would be the perfect distraction.

You don't like shooting things either D: gunpowderreason April 19 2010, 05:06:04 UTC
[Hey man it takes a lot of dere dere to get her like this okay. This is twice the dere dere anyone else got and it's just making her normal. ANYWAY. Hayate is pretty much in heaven oh man so much love.]

Perhaps I will keep that in mind the next time your, ah, lovely admirers come calling. [he flips over and cuddles up for some huggings. Baww. Riza props herself against the coffee table.] If you can somehow convince him to take one for the team.

I do too! Our methods are just different youresoshort April 19 2010, 05:09:37 UTC
(Aand, he sits back once more. GOD, SO CUTE HAYATE)

I'm sure he wouldn't mind if it meant he could get a treat. Though, I would prefer if those women didn't stay longer than needed.

That doesn't count D: gunpowderreason April 19 2010, 05:19:16 UTC
I think it would take more than a single treat, sir, he would be doing you quite a favor. [she's leaning her head away because Hayate is determined to lick her ears, and even all high on dere dere that's not all the pleasant.] The great Flame Alchemist terrified of a few lobster women...

[no no, it's still funny]

;-; but why noot? youresoshort April 19 2010, 05:23:46 UTC
(Have a small, joking glare, Lieutenant.)

I wouldn't exactly call it being terrified. I simply would prefer not to be admired by sea life. Especially if they have pincers for hands.

Because you don't even have to practice :| gunpowderreason April 19 2010, 05:28:54 UTC
[oh sorry my head is kind of fuzzy and there is a cute dog in my face. Your glare is lost on me.]

Anything that inspires such...unique nightmares is something I would have to call terror, sir. I would prefer not to be ad...mired by Barry, but it doesn't keep me awake at night.

But I still shoot things~ youresoshort April 19 2010, 05:31:33 UTC
(Oh, well, that's good, because this image between you and your dog is so cute that my glare doesn't last anyway.)

Well, I suppose it's a good thing that they've finally stopped, then.

How I wish I could say the same for Barry.

AT LEAST I'M NOT A WET MATCHSTICK. youresoshort April 19 2010, 05:42:50 UTC
(THAT'S IT, I CAN'T TAKE IT. He slides off the couch again to start petting him.)

Still giving you some trouble, huh? (Scratch scratch scratch scratch)
