... you'll find the body of thighbelt, stabbed through the heart with a kitchen knife. Evidence of the culprit is all around. A meat tenderizer to knock her out sits in the sink. A smashed glass cabinet shows signs of an obvious struggle that didn't turn out too well.
And with two open exits, there's not a criminal to be seen in sight.
Looks like we've got a mystery on our hands, gang.]

[She was expecting to see Steph in the room. She wasn't expecting to see anything like this.]
[She shifts from determined-business-mode to absolutely-panicky-friend-mode in an instant.]
Steph-!
[she's not moving it's so obvious she doesn't need to check for a pulse living people don't lie like that living people don't stay that still and she should start looking at the clues but she's sure she'll screw it up and this can't be happening again-]

[She walks forward to begin her inspection and take notes. Really, she wasn't expecting her notebook and pen to be used right now, but... here she goes.]

[this wasn't the time for that. she had to catch whoever did this and make them pay.]

[She nods and notes the weapons and the injuries.]

[No. No, this couldn't be right. It couldn't have gone down this way.[
[She looks over at Cass, concern on her face, but she doesn't say anything. Words were never the way to comfort her. No, finding out what was really going on here would help more than anything else. So she wheels herself past her. Careful to avoid messing things up as best she can, she gets as close as she can, right in there looking at clues.]

[Hm... Fingerprints first... and blocking off the crime scene.]

[Well, except for being in the chair. It doesn't take much for her to realize this is why she has field agents. It's hard to examine clues and not leave tracks in a wheelchair.]
[Still, something isn't right here. Even without her costume, Stephanie should be tougher and harder to take down than this.]

[Was this murder premeditated? But... only a number of people knew the victim while others just met her at the party. Perhaps... a guest wasn't who they-- Of course; of all places, a Halloween party.]

But this... This is not what he expected. Dead bodies, he can deal with. He's seen plenty of them before. Dead bodies of people he cares about, however, is a very different thing.
He's just going to stand there for a moment to compose himself, face pale, 'not again, not again, not again' running through his head.]
Is she...?

Whoever did this, we'll find them. No-one can escape justice. We should gather everyone for the questioning.

Yes. Make sure no one leaves the foyer.

[It wasn't until a minute later when her interest picked up. Blood. Human blood. She's absolutely sure; Remilia's, being a vampire, could smell it from well outside the kitchen.]
[So, that's what the commotion was about, hmm...? But the sound and smell of things, someone is either gravely wounded or dead. Well, wasn't this going to be an interesting party?]
