What: Just arriving to the Thor!
When: Today, September 18th! Early morning.
Where: Around the New Arrivals office.
Why: 'Cause Newcomers gotta mingle while panicking, amirite? And veterans need to show them the way!
Rated: PG-13? I'd assume possible cursing and such.

[ Rachel makes rounds at least once a week to set up posters that advertise the upcoming Glee club. Apparently people in space are dicks too so the posters tend to get taken down or vandalized, so the girl makes an active effort to replace any missing or damaged ones.

it's when she's on one of these adventures that she spots Rin, and it doesn't take too long to realize she's a new arrival. Looking around to see if anyone else was going to talk to her, Rachel walks over. ]

Hello?

[sequests]

[she turns her head slightly, gaze switching from the long winding hallway to the person who had addressed her. Her hand rests on the wall, keeping her up, and she stares a little bit before speaking.]

... What?

[forgoodromance]

[ sadly, Rachel is used to people addressing her like that so the tone doesn't even phase her. Instead, she just shifts the weight of her fliers before smiling. ]

You're new here, right?

[sequests]

[ She glances down at the fliers before glancing back up at Rachel. ]

Yeah. What about it?

[forgoodromance]

I figured it may be slightly easier to be around someone that's not a Vogon.

[ she gestures to one of them with a nod. ]

They don't like to give much help.

[sequests]

[ she follows the gesture with her eyes, but then she's back to Rachel, not much caring about the Vogons. She hadn't even approached them for help. ]

I'm not looking for help.

[forgoodromance]

[ there is a pause as she glances at Rin's face then where here hands are located. ]

Help that isn't coming from the wall?

[sequests]

Don't you have some posters to put up?

[Rippppp. Low and behold, some little alien kid is indeed tearing one down that she just put up.

And another one is drawing a random butt on another one.]

[forgoodromance]

Wha-- [ she turns around, and quickly runs after the one that's tearing the poser down. ]

Rude. Rude! You know, it costs like three credits per page to print these out! I swear I'm going to make you pay me back or I'll staples these to your faces.

[ Rin is temporarily safe. ]

[sequests]

[ She watches for a second, as the alien kid sticks his tongue out and runs. After a big of a mental shrug, she'll turn and go around the bend in the hallway, so she's out of sight. But after a second, she'll slide down the wall, and sit on the floor again.

Stomach pains, a real.. well, pain. ]

[forgoodromance]

[ a little while later, there are two alien kids running past Rin, with Rachel following them. ]

-- are you sure you don't want to? I'll pay you to do it, come back!

[ she sighs, and turns to go when she spots Rin again. ]

[sequests]

[ She's mildly curious as to what the girl was asking the kids to do, and why they were running away like there was fire on their heels.

Whatever.

-- Oh, crap, she's spotted her again.

Maybe if she ignores her, she'll go away.

So she stares pointedly at the wall. ]

[forgoodromance]

[ yeah, no. Rachel marches right to her and stands in her line of sight. ]

I see you found a new spot.

[sequests]

Congrats. Do you want a prize for noticing?

[ STOP STALKING ME ]

[ She'll be pushing herself up now, thank you. ]

[forgoodromance]

[ she looks slightly put off at that, but she brushes it off rather quickly. ]

You don't look too well.

[sequests]

[ really, isn't she the most pleasant, Rach? she's upright now, totally, and smoothing out her (rather short) skirt. ]
