[she holds on to him the best way she can, making a little groaning noises. maka begins to sweat and over time, little red bumps developed on her hands and it continuously spreads on her arms.]

[She saw the broken transmission post over her guide and immediately panicked. You couldn't blame her, right? I mean, Soul mentioned dying. Dying wasn't fun! Now, Rhyme was running down the hall, hoping to find them. They were back, right? Oh... Maka...]

IT IS BEAUTIFUL.

[And Soul is running right towards you! He's not paying attention to anyone who's around him. His focus is on getting Maka to the hospital. You'll have to get his attention somehow.]

...!? [soul might not be paying attention, but she definitely saw her. it's mostly the beanie and being a little delirious, she could have sworn it was beat.]

[and she shifts roughly on soul's back, really this is the most reaction he's gotten out of her during the whole trip.]

W-Wait...

Ah! [Oh no, it looks worse than lead on]

Maka! Soul! [She runs over to them]

*It's not like Shiki knows Maka all that well. But to be honest he'd try and find anyone he saw injured on the guide even if they were a total stranger. It's just the way he rolls. Plus he has to give her a piece of his mind since she promised to stay out of trouble.*

it is! soul-mun went to bed so pretend he's....there or something!?!

[he'll see soul running by and maka resting her head on his shoulder, looking rather exhausted and weak.]

*He'll catch up to them, running at the same speed as Soul. It's not difficult for him to do. But Soul seems to have a handle on things, and they're headed towards the hospital, so he just decides to yell at Maka.*

Hey, idiot, I'll visit you in the hospital. You better let everyone know where you're staying.

[idiot? seriously? if it wasn't for her illness, she'd say something to that. but instead, she just nods over to him to show her understanding.]

[Ever since the transmission, Minato has been keeping an eye on the shuttle traffic, hoping to see Maka and Soul's.]

[So, when their shuttle did show up, he was there, running as fast as he could to meet them.]

[He'll yell at Maka later, but now they needed help.]

[she peeks over soul's shoulder and immediately spots minato heading their way. oh, no. is the first thing that pops in her mind. in truth if maka could protest about coming back to thor, she would have. the last thing she wants is to return back empty-handed and having everyone worried their ass off over her. it makes her feel downright guilty.]

[so she ducks her head back down in soul's shoulder. she didn't want to look at him just yet.]

[He... could have guessed she would do something like that. He'll start throwing some healing around in a moment but first he'll at least be polite and address the other person there. Make sure they're going to the right place.]

[she grumbles in soul's shirt to minato.]

TAGGING LIKE THEY'RE ALREADY AT THE HOSPITAL

[Riku hadn't flown into a panic as soon as he saw the transmission; there were ten ways to get back on to the ship and hundred of different roots to take to the hospital from there, but only one major hospital that would have what she needed to recover]

[in fact, it had been almost too calm as he finished his pizza in the mall's food court, tossed his things away, and picked up two smoothies (as if he already knew what was going to happen)]

[when he makes it to the hospital, he asks for her by the only name he knows and almost gets confused when the nurse says she'll take him to "Albarn"]

[...who's Albarn]

[he's pleasantly surprised when he follows her, though, seeing that the electronic display to the room says "MAKA ALBARN"]

[inside, maka lies on her hospital bed doing everything within her power to not scratch her arms. she managed to get a few hours of sleep since her stay and the doctors also managed to lower her symptoms, so she can breathe almost regularly now and she's no longer delirious. but her pig coughs are still active and her fever only broke just a little.]

[when riku enters, he'll find maka staring out the window until she hears him approach her. she gives him a glance before shifting on her side, her back facing him and with her blanket almost nearly covering her head.]

[he blinks openly at the cold reception -- but Maka's always been something of a temperamental creature, so he takes it with patience]

I brought ya your favorite smoothie.

[setting it down on the table next to her bed, he takes up the visitor's chair nearby]

[she looks over her shoulder at the smoothie and then sits up to face him.]

... You mean, you're not going to yell at me?
