THE BRIDGE

Over a small stream from the lake is a lovely little bridge, with a bench and an excellent view of the lake! They call this the kissing bridge, but who the hell knows why? Well...



First Kiss Fairyfluffs

These fairyfluffs are small and easy to overlook, but they're one of the most potent flowers in the garden! They're harmless enough if you're alone, but if you're with someone else, beware! First kiss fairyfluffs interact with the unknown and the curious, the questionable and the fantasy! If you happen to be in the fairyfluff growing area with someone else, scientists have recorded that those who have never kissed one another before are suddenly overcome with the urge to share their first kiss. Oddly enough, the flowers have no effect on people who have shared a liplock before! The fairyfluff does not discriminate, which makes it rather dangerous in it's own right! You can find yourself kissing a total stranger, or your sister's boyfriend! Scientists have found that once a kiss is shared, the gripping desire is gone, and it has no aftereffects. Well, not ones that the flower provides, anyway! The labs were a wreck a during the week this flower was discovered - leaving trails of confusion, sexual orientations being questioned, and deep shame.

[It was still early, and Midii had yet to recognize anyone in the general party area. So she decided to go for a little stroll. Even she had to admit that the garden was beautiful, with magnificent flora she had never seen before.]

[He wandering took her all the way to the bridge, and though she briefly stopped to admire her reflection in the watery surface below, her attention soon fell on a small patch of flowers just across the way]

How pretty...

[And, like most ten-year-old girls would, she walks over and plucks one to hold under her nose. Admiring the sweet smell.]

[ He stood on the bridge, looking over the party area with a slight wistful look on his face, the mask hiding it all away. Sho really has been feeling a little lost the past few days, especially concerning his family and the years between them and him. The hem of his kimono brushes through the flowers, a few of the puffs rising in the air and landing on the heavy purple silk he was wearing. ]

[And some lovely, elegant woman walks by, also dressed in purple. She pauses on the other side of the bridge, leaning on the railing in a most unladylike manner before straightening and glancing around as if hoping to have not been seen.]

[ He was almost fooled by the way she was dressed and was walking until she slipped up at the end. Mouth curling up underneath his mask, Sho moved towards her slowly, arms folded into the sleeves of his kimono. ]

I'm sorry, but I couldn't help but wonder if we had met before.

[Oh geez, if someone knows who she is... Who is that, anyway? She examines the man quite carefully, piecing little hints together, but the full picture hasn't formed yet.]

[ He likes the fact the mask covers his face and that the fold of his sleeves covers his rings. All there really was left was his voice, but even that can change to a deeper tone than normal if he put his mind to it. ]

I think I may know, my lady. Do you not work with horses?

I may say a number of things, chief among them is that you certainly look very becoming in purple.

[ A few more puffs rose as he walked closer, leaning in just a little and his voice dropping even more. He was really trying hard to not to laugh at how silly he was acting. ]

There are only three people who would know this, and you are not of the height to be either of the other two.

Sho, you're a nuisance again... but your costume is exotic, to say the least.

[ He laughs and lifts the mask, full lips curving into a genuine smile and blue eyes crinkling at the corners. ]

I? A nuisance? Now, my dear lady, since when have I been anything but that? [ Yes, he is teasing her just a little, although he stops that to look down at his dress, brushing a few of the tiny puffs off the silk. ]

It's a kimono.

[Her mask doesn't come up--revealing her face here isn't even an option. This is the ultimate cover.

With her usual curtness, she plucks a few of the puffs from his sleeve.]

I've never seen one before.

[ He guesses that, but still have him reach up to run his fingers along her jawline. ]

It's traditional for the Japanese. A lot of the warriors wore them, though this one is a little too formal for every day wear.

I'm... not acting. [ He looks down at his hand and then up at her, tilting his head to the side. ]

You never seen anyone from the orient in your world?

Sho... [Now she's looking at his hand, too. It's... a little strange, but she feels like she shouldn't back away.

She hesitates, then steps toward him again.]

There weren't so many in Italy. Just a few, and a few in the race.
