[Shiemi is standing in front of the rice display, studying the different brands and flavors with a critical eye. She barely has any of the money she received when she first arrived on the Thor left, but the month is almost over so she'll receive her first paycheck soon.

She tucks a small bag of cheap white rice into her basket. And that's when she hears the singing. She song isn't one she knows, but the tune is pleasant enough. Following the sound, she finally glances down the correct aisle.

Shiemi doesn't say anything though, because she's too busy staring at the shopping cart that's moving itself.]

[Lien's also busy trying to get a bag of rice or two into her cart. But it's damn heavy.

The cart stops moving for a moment and she stops singing as she gives a piercing stare at a particularly large bag.

The bag starts floating into the air by a few inches.]

[Seeing such a large bag of rice float like that finally gets a reaction from Shiemi. She drops her shopping basket with a loud gasp.]

How do you do that?!

Eh--? Oh, DAMMIT NO--

[The bag stops floating and it almost falls to the ground, but the cart moves just in time for it to land there instead. SLAM DUNK.]

Wow, that was close.

[Castiel is wandering aimlessly, looking for a distraction. He finds one when he sees Lien following her moving cart and other objects floating into it. It's been a while since they last talked, even longer for him, but he remembers she mentioned she was a psychic.

She might hear the quiet flutter of invisible wings from behind her before he speaks.]

WAH! [His sudden appearance makes her jump. It also broke her concentration in getting several boxes of toothpaste from a particularly high shelf so those fall to the ground.

And one on her head.]

Ow. Dammit, that-- Oh, hi Castiel! Long time no talk! Or see for the matter!

I apologize. I didn't mean to startle you.

Nah, that's okay. Should have been paying attention. [Picks up the toothpaste manually and dumps them into her cart]

Are you shopping? Wait, you're an angel-- Just wandering around?

[though she's on temporary leave from work, Xion isn't the type of person to just stay cooped up at home... even if the whole reason she's taking time off is to catch up on her rest. whoops. IN ANY CASE. someone needs to do grocery shopping, and Hope's busy with work today! so this girl is fulfilling her future waifu duties by going out and getting some food for the two of them. she's just mulling about the general area when she hears the familiar voice behind her...]

[meanwhile, instead of being here for general foodstuffs, M'gann is shopping for specific things-things with which to bake some cookies, to be exact! but pushing carts is for chumps. as is walking! this girl prefers to do things while hovering several inches off the ground, with most of her groceries tucked away safely into a basket-though a few things that couldn't fit are floating around her, too.

as she's making her way to the checkout stand, she can't help but spot Lien. curiosity piqued, she flies on over to the other girl.]

Hey, you never told me you had powers, too!

Oh! Hi! Megan right? [A bag of brown sugar plops itself into Lien's cart and the other psychic waves at M'Gann cheerfully]

And yeah, I could say the same to you! Didn't think it was too important to mention seeing as you were newly arrived and all!

[Coincidentally, Hakkai has been surviving on a similar diet (though less junk food...just lots and lots of rice) for the past several months, but he's finally coming out of his depression enough to want to eat something else. Those are fresh vegetables in his basket! Few people would realize the significance, however.]

[In any event, he's just rounding the corner of an aisle when he hears a familiar voice, and sees a familiar young woman.]

[She turns around blinking in surprise and seeing who it is-- well, Lien's trying not to look sheepish. She usually doesn't mind singing in front of others, albeit quietly, but for some reason she feels embarrassed. Just a bit.]

I think it's a cheerful song actually! A little melancholy, but not too much!

[He's not necessarily indicating that she should continue, though his smile and tone of voice aren't exactly indicating that she shouldn't, either...though he goes on to say quickly enough:]

I've been doing better. Just felt creative enough to make a good meal today instead of copping out. And you?
