WARNING: POINTLESS RANT
So, LA is supposed to be a fashionable city right? Well, apparently not at UCLA. These past weeks I've seen some of the WORST outfits ever. My favorite? There was a guy wearing blue flannel pj pants, grey pj t-shirt, and black slippers outside of one of my buildings. But apparently he thought his ensemble needed more so he added on a pair of light grey basketball shorts over the pants. Lauren and I think he's a superhero. PJ Basketball shorts man.
Another thing I HATE seeing? Girls wearing gorgeous, silk/satin looking, jewel-toned tops over oversized light blue jeans. At least wear dark jeans people!!! Or save the top for a night out! Today I passed a girl wearing an amazing dark blue satiny top with black accents and acid washed jeans. UGH.
Also, the whole knee-length dress with black leggings? What's the point?? Are you REALLY that ashamed of your calves? Because all that unnecessary fabric just draws attention to your legs, honey.
Ok, I know I'm pretty obsessive about clothes most of the time (one day I came back from class and changed my jeans because I didn't think the wash went with the color of my top) and some days I have the whole "fuck looking good, t-shirt and jeans all the way" attitude, but I don't understand what these people are thinking. *Sigh*, I know you guys don't care but I just had to get this shit out of my system. What are some of your fashion pet peeves?
[edit] - I forgot this one last time: girls who wear leggings as pants. I see so many girls wearing normal length shirts that barely cover their butt and then leggings. They aren't meant to be worn alone, people!!! And then you get to see EVERYTHING, which is not pleasant.
Also, I hate it when girls wear tunics as dresses to parties. They're TOPS, kids. TOPS. If it barely covers your crotch, wear something under it.
