I can't be completely sure what's been going on, but I've got a good enough idea.
There are those of you running around without memories. From the people I've spoken to so far, it sounds like the same old story. You appeared here with only the clothes on your back and a journal like the one I'm writing in right now. For all of you reading this, this place is Edensphere. Everyone has come to this place by cocoon until now, without their memories just like you. I'm Vimes, head of the Watch here, and the laws around these parts are basic: no killing, no arson, no assault and no stealing. Otherwise, here's what you need to know. We get around this place by elevator. Don't go into the Wilderness without a companion, or else you won't find your way back. The bottom floor is the Scavenger's Yard, and you'll find big monsters there that will try and swipe at you, or so I hear. Everything you write in this journal here will be seen by everyone else, so be careful of what you write. Ask around for directions to Housing, and we'll get you all to Temporary Housing until we get everything figured out. We'll make sure you're provided for, so please be patient while we get everything together. Greeters, you're better at this than I am. See if you can't lend these people a hand. If you've got any questions, ask them here and I'll answer them the best I can.
The usual questions are "why am I here" and "how can I get back", I know. No one's got the answer to the first question, and the answer to the second question is that we can't get back to wherever we're from, so we've got to make do here.
