Commonwealth Games - Last Word
Skimmed through the last days competition and the closing ceremony (which seemed to go on for ages. and ages. and ages.), yesterday evening.
More golds for England in the athletics - well done fellas - and the boxing, amongst others.
The highlight, however, was the appearance of Dame Edna Everage, topping off the closing ceremony (spectacular firework display, yet again, by our Aussie cousins). And the subsequent introduction of 1,000 "Dame Edna" extras.
Splendidly hilarious stuff. Even the ribbing of the U.S.'s perception of Australia.
