....because I saw a young lad, just the other day, in the same bedraggled state.
Walking to (primary) school, in pouring rain, no umbrellas, hood used - possibly...arriving at school wringing wet, laying as much of the wet clothing on the big, "industrial" size, school radiators - even sitting on the damm thing (and 5-10 seconds later jumping up like a scalded animal).
My walk seemed to take a heck of a long time, although it wasn't *really* that far - though secondary school was a shorter walk.
I need to take a drive, and then a walk down memory lane one of these days.
