i love the brontes. wuthering heights is one of my faves... and the tenant of wildfell hall (by anne bronte) is amazing too.
if you're looking for english-y books my favorites are tess of the d'urbervilles (thomas hardy) and middlemarch (george eliot) which would keep you occupied for awhile.
ps! i'm so excited about reunion and hope you're having a fabulous time!
that's so crazy that you reread the Great Gatsby because I JUST did that last week I think. Even overseas little o, we are 'making a motion' on the same level! Right now I'm reading In Her Shoes, I like it so far. i also finished Memoirs of a Geisha-I think it had me like the movie more. So I guess I've been in a book-movie thing right now.
Anyway, i'm super excited for June because I'm going to be going home about every weekend. I have my dad's retirement party, a wedding, then I'm taking a week off-and have another wedding during that time. So I'm thinking we should order chinese and watch the Sex's, take road trips, drink our asses off...yar.
oh i can sooo picture the gesture you're making when we're on the same level... probabably becausae we're on the same level...
and get this- my mah sent me In her shoes to watch on dvd, and i just looked up memoirs of a geisha to take out of the libs (but they dont have it, those english tirds). ANDDDDD i just wrote a paper on movie adaptations/remakes of books and other films. WE'RE SO CONNECTED.
and umm yeah sex and the city would be SAWEEETTTTTTTTTTT. fabulous. yayy. i cant wait. itll hae to be on a week day thou because apparently i sold my soul to the holiday inn and im working every single weekend again. lovely, i know.
