But, but, but... I don't know how to code for green.

Speaking of green, rained here yesterday, settled the dust and put enough growth on the yard grass (NOT lan;putting a fence around Seven Star Pasture Mix and mowing it six or seven times a year does not a lawn make) that I need to start with the threats of gross bodily harm to those who can get the mower started to cut the stuff or be maimed.

Julia, shuddering at any more code, thanks to all those AAW posts

Hee!! Copy and paste this: *PINCH!* - replacing the [] with <> and there you have it.

I drug out my 10 blade reel mower Monday and got an upper body workout. (It weighs about 45 pounds, but I have a putting green! Not technically, but you get my meaning) I think I convinced my husband to put in more flower beds. Plants = less work than grass, by a LONG shot.

Oh, yeah, you know it. Thing is, we're on excessively drained coarse sand, according to the guys who do the septic tank permitting, so we have 1000 square feet of drainfield, none of which can have shrubs or anything useful on it, five trenches three feet wide and four feet apart and I am so not up to basic math this morning. Anyway, it amounts to about 50'X50' of mown lawn, with another 20X10 between the house and the greenhouse, and then there's the insanity which is the shade yard, about 30X50, with mown paths and flower beds and a big native plant bed.

Oh- and the iris garden, where I really need to get ground wood and mulch all the paths because they're a 100% bitch to mow.

Green. I'll be green in a bit. Must go wake up and check cows (six babies now, on this place, plus another 20 or so in the Angus herd).

Julia, feeling sedated

Babies!! *Pets their noses, scritches that one spot between ears*

I wonder if you could grow Buffalo grass in your 50' X 50' spot? It's a prairie gras = no supplemental water, no mowing, pretty.

I'm putting in a bluebonnet flower bed later today. *cough*in the shape of Texas*cough*

Okay, so where are yall finding the chick with a strap-on fics? And why don't you point me that way?

I'm not saying it is a kink, I'm just saying it is something I enjoy.

As far a actual kinks go, I have a hand kink. Hands on faces, grabbing, etc? yes please. I love things that are just about hands touching (though I like that too) but things that are about how hands feel.

Also re: 8 miles in the sun, I hate you.; It snowed here today. I live in NC. Today is St Patrick's Day. It snowed this morning. That is just wrong. So wrong.

Hmmmm...what squicks me is incest. When people have a story that reads in the warning line "This fic contains two 16 year old brothers going at it" I walk run the other way. But I'm always willing to make exceptions when it fits the plot or similar. And...the whole "he forced her to have sex with him and...she liked it!" thing doesn't really do it for me. I've read a couple of stories where Spike kidnaps and rapes Buffy in S3 and she ends up with him...gah? My other squick is not so much a squick as a serious hatred: Bangel. I don't read Bangel fics at all. It's not that I wish to see Buffy or Angel with someone else and so that wish blinds me to their twoo wuv, it's that I find it to be the most insipid love story. The don't actually know or trust each other. Theres is the type of love where they would have both killed themselves before finding out that their little foibles pissed each other off. And I apologize to Bangel shippers, but I can't help hating it ( ... )

HA HA!! I made you read Angel AND incest!! Sucker!

I generally am not into incest fic. That being said, I don't see Angel/Connor as incest. Huh? Lemme 'splain. "Connor" is a baby. Forever a baby. Stephen - was the child/is the young man now. (As in, S4 timeline) Holtz, for better or much, much worse is the "father" of Stephen.

Angel's family (Darla, Dru, Spike) is a family of fabrication, and I think Connor fits into that. It isn't incestuous when Darla and Angel (make a pairing, pick a pairing) come together, so it isn't the same for me.

Now. There is a sense of parenthood/ father-son/ you belong to me/ trust that is at risk in C/A, but not like you having a baby, or you and your brother.

Ultimately, it's a new kink and I'm all about the justification. (Kink as in Connor/Angel, not any other incest fics that may exist)

I see, I see!

As to Connor/Angel, have you seen the Counting Bodies vid? OH MY GOD. It will turn the non-Con into OMG, Connor!

ooh. That was a useful bit of code *runs to save it in stickies*

Man, you made me read incest fic and it was ...hurty.

I find I get more sqicks the more I read. I used to read everything, but now there's certain stuff I'll only read if it's by a particular author like (see above) or RPS.
Most of those Authors are Tesla! i think it's the affection she has for the characters, makes reading her...affirming, or something.
Not that I don't like a good dose of h/c and heroism every now and then.
(Not going to talk about mad silly Stoneyfic cos that would be smooching)

Ack! I know. I don't normally do the incest fics. But... *points above where I was verbose on the topic*

And I'm quite particular. There have been many fics where I've started, and after a few paragraphs(sentences) have had to say out loud, "No thanks!" and click away. I'm sure there was a BUNCH of that in my LJ this week. most of my flist is Spuffy or Spander.

I just like reading good fics, and if there's good smut? Bring it.

(But my heart will always belong to the Parody...)
