You're making me all sniffly, and in the middle of a public computer lab! For shame!

GO RENT THE MOVIES!!!! They let Anne do what we want which is to rush to his bedside and claim her affection, which turns his fever around.

I cannot stress how much you need to sit at home this Saturday with ugly, fat socks, a bowl of popcorn and assorted sweets and cola (maybe some grapes and carrots - I'm a mom, don't forget) and a fat blanket, preferably with a cat sleeping on it. And watch them!!!

(Thanks, by the way. You know I'm writing them for YOU right?)

Hee! I feel very special. :)

I kind of like the whole prayer-at-the-window sequence, but her running to his side would be MOST satisfying.

I'll hit up Blockbuster this evening, and if they won't help me out I'll shuffle my Netflix queue...::plots:: We have Monday off for MLK day, so that's a whole extra DAY in which there can be much movie-watching.

I need Anne icons so I can stop substituting Kaylee...

Okay, here's the total sum of my knowledge on this couple - their names, and that she's 'of green gables'.
But this is lovely schmoop. They get teh sweet lollipop icon.

The lollipop! The books are quiet and nice and G rated. Not for everyone on my flist, but I read them as a girl, and find myself re-reading them to capture their sweetness every few years or so.

But we ALWAYS watch the mini-series on the day after Thanksgiving.

Now you're making me think about books I'd forgotten. Like everything by Louisa May Alcott or Laura Ingalls Wilder...and I see it's Lucy Maud Montgomery. Three names per person. Hmmm....

Okay, now we are connecting. Laura Ingalls Wilder and LM Montgomery were never far from my fingers. "Little Women" bugged me - weanie women. I like my women cute, spicy, spunky, and firey. And smart.

But I am ENCHANTED by the evil Hitler Kitty. ;-D

Hmm, let me think for a se- YES.

They will probably be in the Young Adult section and should be cheap. Just some lovely, happy, picturesque writing. And Gilbert!! He calls her carrots! She breaks a slate over his head, then breaks his heart!!

BEAR!! Read them, then we'll have a sleep over and braid each other's hair and eat sweets way too late and prank call ___ and stay up all night! OMG!

Oh, Anne is big EVERYWHERE. And how fun to live in Japan for a while! I've been on a PEI tour (I almost convinced my husband that we should move there, or at least to Halifax.)

If you feel the need to read sweet, touching, funny, and post-Victorian tales, I couldn't recommend Anne any higher. She's particular (and known for) being Anne with an E.

Thanks for reading, even though this isn't you thing.
