Betrayal is an odd thing. In a lot of ways you could say that God betrayed Satan. I mean Satan loved god so much that he would not stand for the creation of man. That was like God throwing him aside and saying, "look i've created something better and it has choices. So keep serving me while i truly love them." Of course Satan took the wrong approach to getting back on Gods good side, but the precedent is still there. Those we love although endeared to us, always have the capability, to act in contrary and selfish nature to you. No matter how much you love someone expect the worst because in the end you will get cast out of paradise for loving too much.
