We're now the proud owner of 2 houses; one ready to be moved into, one ready to be sold and moved out of (went on the market this weekend).
We visited the new place for awhile this weekend, and came up with a few conclusions:
1) Its really really quiet
2) The hardwood floors really amplify any sound - a fly really sounds pretty loud, even in another room. Things echo if you shout.
3) The house stays remarkably cool - previous homeowners did a really good job on the solar screens and insulation
4) We have very little idea how we're going to arrange the piano room or the living room
5) The porch is still awesome
6) Having 2 houses means you really need to hire someone to mow one of them
