Despite many objections, I went through with the tattoo and absolutely adore it. Its a small black doberman pincher on the inside of my left ankle. I had the procedure done at Epic Tattoo by a man by the name of Samuel, who was very nice and told me stories about the size of his penis while he was injected black dye into my dermis.
Rob, Nate, Laura, and I began our search for the right tattoo parlor at Pscyho Tattoo where I saw some pretty disturbing pictures of pierced body parts (I didn't think people actually did that!) I also encountered a very rude tattoo artist and promptly decided to leave. We then made our way to Epic Tattoo where I made an appointment at 8:30 pm.
Although I was apprehensive (okay, very apprehensive), I went through with it, squeezing Laura's hand the entire time. I can't describe the pain exactly, it wasn't horrible, but I still don't know how people can get those tattoos that cover their entire back, 15 minutes was enough for me.
Total cost: $50 (including a $10 tip for the guy being very understanding and patient with me).
I have realized that I am an extremely stubborn person, when I want something, I will get it. My father thinks the doberman is stupid, my mother thinks I should have gotten a heart, and Mrs. Summers thinks it is an act of the devil that I did this (hehe). But I didn't care. I did it anyways. I don't know if the stubborness is a good or bad thing. I do know that I love my little doberman and it is now a part of me and will be forever more.
