what a crappy weekend. I got kicked out of a sea cadet training for following one of the very core rules that the military operates on. there was a scuffle involving myself, several officers, and a few others cadets. Many of the officers said that they admired my tenacity and respected me for taking responsibility, and so would not punish me further than sending me home early. they said that i would be my own harshest critic. but i'm not. what i really learned last night was that i can stand up for what i believe in and that i can lead people into battle. I'm still incredibly frustrated at the hipocracy, racism, and sexism that i saw during the 24 hours that i was there (which had nothing to do the with fight, i assure you), but i suppose i can see more clearly why the officers were so mad. but all they had to do was stand down from general quarters, and there would have been no trouble.
