The Stone Legacy Chapter Nine
Antonia is finally starting to settle into motherhood. Unfortunately for her, life can never stay the course.
A few weeks have gone by and Antonia has been trying to embrace her new role of "Good Mother"
Sadly she's still trying to cope with her heart break.
Chase has finally reached childhood and rolled the trait Grumpy
And Antonia decides on an edgier look.
As far as dating goes Antonia has taken a strict vow to never bring a man back to her home. From now on all relations will be conducted away from her kids.
She was hitting it off pretty well with this guy. His name was a little unconventional Cycl0n3 Sw0rd. But he was cute ... But sadly he had a girlfriend. Antonia's learned her lesson about affairs.
Mending the bridges with the boys is proving slow.
Luckily Verona is still too young to know about her mom's craziness.
I think things are going to get better though.
Maybe.
Antonia: NOT AGAIN! DAMN SINK!
The next day Antonia decides to meet her neighbors.
Miraj Alvi seems nice enough
I think he likes you Antonia
I guess she likes him too!
They've become quite the pair doing everything together.
Miraj soon becomes Antonia's sixth boyfriend.
Apparently the best way to get over an old flame it to find a new one.
But this means the kids are spending more time with the babysitter than mom. But true to her word shes never brought Miraj home.
The next morning someone familiar is going for a jog outside the house.
Antonia's rage cannot be suppressed.
Antonia: YOU SCUM! YOU'VE RUINED MY LIFE!
She'll teach him a lesson!
I guess he forgot she's still in the military.
All that fighting has got Antonia feeling frisky
She decides it's time to consummate her relationship with Miraj.
But she gets home just in time to celebrate Heath's birthday
Haha! I wasn't expecting that. Heath becomes a teenage and rolls the vegetarian trait.
Antonia gifts him with an electric guitar. Seems fitting
Back to work the next day but it doesn't last long because someone from the Landgraab Industries Science Facility comes by and offers Antonia a job there as a Carnivorous Plant
Tender. The job also comes with a helpful raise. This all seems strange but she needs the money so she takes it.
The job requires a high gardening skill which Antonia doesn't have. Not wanting to start out on the wrong foot She works into the night to raise it.
In the morning she's a little groggy but excited about her new job
Unfortunately it's a trap.
Upon entering Antonia finds out that her new boss just happens to be Judy Bunch! This was a scheme thought up by her. Ten minutes in she fires Antonia and promises to tell any future employer that she was fired for coming to work drunk!
Antonia: How can you be so evil!? How am I going to feed my kids?
Judy: Don't worry you have experience in prostitution don't you?
Back home this month's bills are already late
But suddenly there's a knock at the door.
It's Ethan!
Antonia: Do you know what your mother did to me?
Ethan: Yeah... but I came here to help.
Antonia: what?
Ethan: I want to take Verona and raise her. She'll have a better life with me. Trust me.
Antonia: You bastard! I'm sure you're were in with her the whole time! This was all part of the plan!
Ethan: LOOK! I'll give you until tomorrow to decide but trust me if you don't give her to me I'll fight for her and believe me I won't lose!
Back inside Heath overheard the whole thing
Heath: What's wrong with you!? Verona has the chance to get out of here and go to a good school and have a good life! You never even wanted kids!
Antonia: That doesn't mean I don't love her! I love all of you! I'm trying to make things better for us!
Heath: Yeah well in a few days we'll be homeless? What are we going to do then?
In a last ditch effort to keep her family together Antonia went next door to Miraj's house. She begged him to let them stay their just until she could find another job.
Miraj: Honey you should have checked the fine print. You see I have commitment issues but this was fun while it lasted.
Antonia: But what am I supposed to do now!?
Miraj: look I'll give you a few bucks it's not enough to pay your rent but maybe you can find a cheaper place?
Returning home Antonia was grief stricken. She decided that the only good thing that could come of this was sending Verona to live with her father. She would do much better with him than her.
Early in the morning Antonia went to Town hall. She would check the public bulletin boards to hopefully find something cheaper to rent. Luckily there was something.
Gabias Koffi was an elderly retired Fertilizer analyst. He had never married and lived alone. His house was large and empty. He has two rooms for rent. After Antonia explained her situation he cut her a good deal.
Unfortunately after that it was time to pass Verona over to her father.
It had been a long time since she was last here.
Ethan: You made the right choice.
Antonia sincerely hoped Verona wouldn't hold this against her as she got older.
That night the move was complete. This would be Antonia, Heath and Chase's new home.
But for how long?
