Week 22 Update - The ultrasound!
Today we got to see our *daughter* for the first time! It made me tear up! Almost the first thing we saw her doing was sitting with her feet stuck up near her head (sucking her toes?). We also got to see her opening her mouth to drink amniotic fluid (yum!), watched her heart beating, grab her foot with her *right* hand (Greg was disappointed it wasn't her left), and I even got to watch her kick me and feel it at the same time. :)
According to the pictures we got her head is five centimeters across and her feet are about as long. She should be up to about a pound in weight by now, very long and skinny. From what I could see of her face I think she's going to have my nose but I'm not sure of much else. Oh well, we'll be meeting her in about another 20 weeks, give or take, anyway! :)
