Tomorrow I will be 14 weeks pregnant, beginning my fifteenth week of development.
I totally missed updating last week. The good news is that I'm now into the second trimester!! The morning sickness has significantly decreased in frequency and as long as I don't overdo it I feel pretty good for the most part. Though I have been starting to get headaches pretty regularly... and there is the itchy, unattractive rash... apparently both common problems at this point. :P I'm going to talk with my doc about both at my next appointment later this week to see if anything can be done.
Greg has been so incredibly thoughtful and helpful through all of this. After doing all kinds of crazy yardwork on Saturday he picked up the whole downstairs yesterday and tonight he came home from work, unloaded then loaded the dishwasher then made me dinner! So sweet he is!
Pickle the dancer?
While I was weeding my vegetable garden on Saturday I'm pretty sure I felt Pickle move for the first time! It was this funny, fluttery feeling in my lower abdomen. Sort of like someone was throwing jazz hands inside my belly. I've heard some people say that you can confuse gas for baby movement but this felt *nothing* like gas to me. I haven't felt anything like it since then but it's not unheard of to start feeling the baby move at this point in my pregnancy.
Growing like crazy...
Pickle is now about 3.5 inches long. That's about the same width as my palm! I'm *defintely* starting to show now which is funny because my friend Megan (who is about three or four more weeks pregnant than me) is just now starting to show herself. For those interested in old wives tales I'm not sure yet if I'm going to carry high or low but I seem to be carrying higher than Megan... probably why I'm showing sooner.
