Good new things:
- Living situation. The house is huge and has lots of character, the rent is cheap, the roommates are great. The newest roommate has a dog, which rules, cause I've always wanted a dog.
- Hot new job. Goodbye shitty warehouse job, hello again social work. I'm an HIV prevention counselor for the Mazzoni Center. I'll mostly be working in the local bath houses and LGBT community centers. I get to learn phlebotomy, score! Also, the pay and benefits package are pretty kick ass. Let's see if I can finally learn to play the queer non-profit politics game right this time.
- Internet access. I finally have it. Oh Wikipedia, how I have missed you. But my mouse is frustratingly crappy... anyone got an extra one that I can have?
- Meeting lots of new people. Thanks to my incredibly social roommates, I've been to a lot of gatherings and have met a bunch of fun new people. And a few of them even live on my side of the river, which is nice.
- Desperate Housewives. Felicity Huffman, will you marry me?
- Going to see Thursday this weekend. I could definitely use a good sweaty, frantic, scream-along-as-loud-as-i-can show. Any of you guys going? Although it'll be a tad bittersweet... for months and months I've been looking forward to Thursday playing philly cause I really wanted G to come see them with me. Not that she's a particularly big Thursday fan, or even really into going to shows, but I love going to shows like that so much, and that was a passion I really wanted her to experience with me. Oh well.
