YES! I actually just saw a commercial for the new, get this, Will Ferrell / Emma Thompson Dramedy "Stranger Than Fiction." I remember reading about this one, but it was on an independant movie website. (Believe it or not, Ferrell doesn't just do a ton of commercial movies every year, but also does just as many indie flicks.) Anyways, this actually had a commercial, and it looks good. I had no idea this was getting a wide release!
It's a story within a story - but not. Emma Thompson writes a story about a character that is played by Will Ferrell - except that Will Ferrell's character is actually a real person, and Will can hear Emma's narration in his head. The unfortunate part comes when Emma starts talking about his "impending death" which really freaks him out. He then sets off on a quest to meet the author that seems to be controlling his life.
It's far from Will Ferrell's usual stuff, and I can't wait to see it.
