[Filter: Private]I do not see the point of celebrating Christmas and New Years, they are simply just another two days in our calender that have been commercialised to guilt us into buying unnecessary gifts for those around us.
However... I remember what you used to say about this time of year, sensei. That the gifts were just an extension of how we tell those around us that we care, and a man of honour used it as his medium to thank those he owes a debt of pride to. I do not wish to give gifts, they would not be well received among those who would receive them, and I am sure I shall not receive any in return.
I will not disappoint you, sensei. I may not have nakama I wish to show I care... perhaps one... but I have comrades, both amenable and not, who I have fought with in the past years. Pride dictates they deserve some recognition, so a small token on this holiday will suffice.
...
...I do not wish to risk Aizen coming for Inoue-san without me being near to stop him, so I have not dared wait any longer before making this solitary visit this year. I hope you will forgive that I cannot spend Christmas morning with you, okaasan, and that you like the flowers I chose this year. I love you.[/Filter]

[Quite early, presents will appear at several people's homes and offices. Just a prettily wrapped parcel in blue and silver paper, a neatly written note attached:
To...
Merry Christmas and a Prosperous New Year.
