GUESS WHAT HAPPENED? NO, GUESS. No, I'll tell you. It was like THIS! So I slept forever because of my medicine and was STILL sleepy but got all "NO. My break will be over soon. I WANT TO PLAY A GAME SOME MORE" and wound up playing The World Ends With You for no particular reason. And I wound up beating it. It was one of those things where I was just thinking, "I'll go as far as I can get without doing any further preparations and if I get killed I'll just turn it off." Except I BEAT IT. It was beautiful. T_T And it DOES have a New Game+ish type deal, so now I can tie up all those loose ends while still keeping my AWESOME. FANCY. PINS. That I took forever to nurture and nourish and raise. So that's another one down!
Also, I took a look at the downloadable DS game demos they have on the Nintendo Channel on the Wii and found they had one of Rhythm Heaven so I tried it out! It was really fun! I admit that even after I read all the descriptions about the game I still didn't quite get it, so it was really helpful to try it out. I did pretty well with the rod game, sucked mildy at the one where my little character has to sing (and shut his yap), and completely sucked hardcore at the one where I have to fill up the robots with fuel (like, REALLY bad. I only did it right twice). I'm thinking I might try to get the game eventually! It was cute and I'm a sucker for games you can pick up and play like that.
I also tried MySims Racing. It seemed kind of like a copy of Mario Kart...? I mean, I imagine most racing games are pretty similar to each other but, you know. No interest in that one, really. The one game I'm seriously tempted to buy is Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: My Life as a King because I like that kind of town builder game and I think the graphics style of the FFCC series is adorable. Reviews seem kind of...split down the middle or something, though, so I'm not sure.
Speaking of which, I've become midly addicted to watching "Let's Play" series on YouTube, especially ones of super old games like California Games for the NES (OH, THE MEMORIES~). I get all "Awwww" at people as they play videogames, actually (unless they come across as know-it-all jerks somehow). There's this one guy who actually says the dialogue out loud and makes voices and I kind of love him. I mean, I can see other people being all "Ew, that's so annoying, I wish he would stop," but he has an adorable voice and, not gonna lie, I do that sometimes with my brother, so I can't even judge this guy. You are all right by me, guy! And keep that voice healthy. *WINK WINK*
UGH! *shudder* I just creeped myself out. Like some old man.
videogames,
the world ends with you
