Christmas Was Still Around In the 90s Dance Era
We finally took down the Christmas decorations (hey, man, the holidays don't end till January 6 or so around this house and then we procrastinate. I think one time we had them up till halfway through February...). It is a little depressing realizing how far away Christmas is again. I miss it badly. What tends to cheer me up a bit is that it's still coldish this time of the year but once March hits it's not really anymore and then it's just a bummer up until October. Those other holidays are just not as exciting. I mean, my birthday's in there too but...they don't make themed decorations for it.
My book troubles got resolvedish! Well, I met up with my classmate and she was SUPER nice and not only had she already photocopied all the stuff by the time I got there but she used her discount to get us a really good price. It all came to one dollar! *_* So I'm totally buying her something from the snack machine to pay her back or something. I am seriously grateful. She has leveled up and learned a new attack and found a million gold pieces and a legendary weapon and is trying to learn a new move but is so awesome that she already has her slots filled up and is asking if she should overwrite an old move and all the moves are so awesome I just don't know what to do and--yeah, I'm grateful. Waitaminute. If she already learned a new attack why is she trying to learn a new move...oh, no, see, it's because attacks are different. Those are PHYSICAL attacks. Moves are like...magic moves. Like dance moves. Dancing...monks. Anyway, my first assignment is due tomorrow! But it's easy so it's okay. I just have to study for this quiz.
Today was weird, though. I didn't sleep at all from Friday to Saturday and then I went and did that and got home and slept till midnight and now I'm awake. And Japanese song titles are funny. Well, song titles in any language can be funny but this song is called "Very! Berry! Strawberry!" and it just struck me as so very berry funny and reminded me of Strawberry Shortcake because she always said "berry" instead of "very." I miss that show. >.< The OLD one, not the modern new one with all its hip jive or whatever. I liked Strawberry Shortcake's huge hat.
As much as I love the 80s, I also love 90s dance music stuff. Like this "Dreams (Radio Version)" song by 2 Brothers On The 4th Floor. I like that band name. Group name. Whatever it is. Some dudes and a girl. Which...makes the "brothers" part weird. Maybe it's a brother with a high-pitched voice. Manga plot~! Naoyuki is a boy with a high-pitched voice that sounds like an angel singing! But he's a MAN who wants to be manly! However, his brother Kenta is all like "WE COULD MAKE SOME MOOLAH BRO" and forces him to crossdress and sing as the cute new singing idol Mimi-chan! And everyone falls for it because Naoyuki is so cute and pretty and sings like a girl! And Naoyuki falls for his rival, Emi! But she doesn't know he's a guy! And she'll be mad if she finds out, probably! Plus Emi likes Kenta! And Kenta likes the money Naoyuki's bringing in! What's a crossdressing, singing teenage boy to do~?
