I just got the weirdest urge to play Secret of Mana after, like, a billion years. Ok, ok, I think the last time I played it was about two years ago. BUT STILL! Anyway, I remember the last time I played it seriously was in high school and I actually got reaaally far but my game got erased (UGH) and the pain was too raw and too real and I put it aside for many years and now here I am considering trying again.
And yet...can I truly handle it? I remember something about Gaia's Navel being super annoying to me, and I remember the game being really hard, but I do think it's because I ran away from most enemies, so my characters were probably super underleveled. Nowadays I'm a lot more receptive to the idea of leveling up for hours, so I might actually make it ok! Plus back then I didn't have the internet at all (I KNOW, RIGHT!?) and so I didn't have anything like GameFAQs to guide me through. It was just me and me alone, not knowing what the crap I was doing or where to go half the time, so it makes sense that the experience was maybe a little more frustrating back then (I fully admit I am not the type that goes, "Yay! Exploration is the fun part!" and I always want to know what I'm supposed to do next and where all the hidden stuff is so I can get the best ending possible and beat the final boss with as little hassle as possible).
Also, I'm watching Con Air and realizing anew how much I like John Cusack. I don't know why I like John Cusack, I just do. Ever since I first laid eyes on him. Why, John Cusack? Why do I love you? I mean, you'll probably break my heart someday. You probably hate music with synthesizers in it. And I'm sorry, John Malkovich, but I cannot call you anything but "John Malkovich." Not "Cyrus" or "Unther" or "Unfer" or whatever your name was in Beowulf.
I have 3 weeks before my research annotated bibliography is due. This wouldn't be so hard if our teacher didn't want us to be soooo specific. UGH. And it looks like I'm booked again for the next couple of weekends. I have, like, two baby showers in a row.
