Actually, we sort of celebrated it yesterday this year. Weird. We didn't actually do anything today except laze around and mourn the end of vacation times. But yesterday we went to my aunt's house again and had yet another party (but with less people and food and no fancy outfits; it was an impromptu sort of thing). Much to my delight, all my favorite children were there (even if they are not yet completely potty trained >.<).
For those who might not know, this is the typical way to do Three Kings Day (where I come from, at least):
1. Gather grass for the camels from the yard.
2. Put it in a shoe box and leave it next to your bed.
3. Wake up the following morning to find the shoe box empty and presents next to/under your bed!
Well, we came home pretty late and opened our presents right when we got home. It kind of killed the magic a little, but mom was in no mood to wrap stuff up and throw grass back out onto the yard, it seems (she doesn't HAVE to because THE CAMELS WILL EAT IT, YES THEY WILL, I BELIEVE IN THEM, MAN I BELIEVE ^_^;). She just gave us our presents and sent us to bed. Of course, we didn't go to bed at all and played with our new stuff instead.
My Stash:
1. Super Mario Galaxy for the Wii
2. Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance for the Game Cube
3. The Stardust DVD
And, ok, fine, I admit I haven't done the grass part since I was like...well, younger, ok? But we still do the present thing.
But Super Mario Galaxy is AWESOME! I'm surprised I'm getting the hang of it so "quickly" (for me) because I suck at platformers. It's REALLY fun! I mean, I can be a Boo Mario? A Bee Mario? I've only waited for this ALL MY LIFE!
GOOD LUCK TO EVERYONE RETURNING TO SCHOOL! I'm a little antsy, but I've accepted that this will happen at the beginning of any new thing I start.
