Reactions to Jeanne D'Arc and Britney Spears Might Be Crazy
Well, I'm finally on Chapter 2 of Jeanne D'Arc and have formed some opinions on the game.
All of these are subject to change at a moment's notice (see Snowe from Suikoden IV)! MAN! When did I become so jaded? -_-;
Completely Honest Gut Reactions to Jeanne D'Arc So Far:
1. I think the best thing about it (so far, at least) is the gameplay, as opposed to storyline or characters, which are pretty "simple" and "typical," I think.
2. My favorite character so far is actually Liane, though I have the feeling that she's probably not a fan favorite, since she seems like one of the physically weaker characters.
3. Jeanne is kind of bugging me. I hated the way she treated Rufus (I like Rufus!). I'm also annoyed that Jeanne was upset that they left her behind when they were going to the first bastille but then she and Roger did the exact same thing to Liane right there.
4. I think Roger is kind of boring. I'm sure he's supposed to have some deep backstory, since he has amnesia and all (TYPICAL), but I have a feeling I won't be too impressed by it. Maybe he's the real dauphin or something.
5. King Henry freaks me out, as does his creepy Duke bad guy (forgot his name again; the guy with the weird hat).
6. I really wish the anima cutscenes still had the written dialogue appear on the screen. Whenever a game doesn't show the dialogue on the screen during cutscenes, I can't help but think of deaf people who might be playing the game (and people like me who often play at places like the public offices with the sound muted and forgot to bring earphones -_-;).
So, in conclusion, I'm actually really enjoying the game so far, as in the battles and the preparing my team and giving them those colored crystals and so on, but the story and characters are no big deal, so far. It's still a fun game, though, and I'll keep on playing it. I mean, it IS still pretty early on in the game. Maybe it'll get crazy good from here on out and by the end of it I'll be like "OMG IT IZ MAH FAV GAME EVAR!!!1!"
And I'm a bit concerned about Marcel. He looks pretty young and is male, which makes him a young boy, and Gilles is now in my party and I am kind of worried. Somebody better be keeping those two apart. Maybe Marcel just LOOKS young but is actually like 26 and thus of no interest to Gilles. ^_^; *overreacts*
In other news, man, Britney Spears just keeps getting crazier each day! I admit, at first I was kind of fascinated by it all, but now I just feel kind of sorry for her. Scratch that, sorry for her KIDS. I mean, I don't know if she has something seriously wrong with her that is not really her fault (like some undiagnosed mental disorder) or if it's all stuff she just brought on herself but, dang.
