BRR!! Is my love for manga frozen?

HAHAHA! That title is lame. But it was TOTALLY cold today. I realized I needed my rainbow socks and my old Miami Dolphins hooded sweatshirt thing (tangent: Do you know I don't even know what sport they play? Mom picked it cause of the colors and gave it to me like 10 years ago or something crazy like that) and I was just so tickled and pleased.

Then I went to the mall and bought Jeanne D'Arc for the PSP on a whim. I hope it's a good game. I should make that a resolution for this year: Stop buying stuff on impulse without knowing much about it. -_-; And then I went to the bookstore and I was so sad. I STILL can't seem to find a manga that interests me besides Yotsuba &!. It is sad to stare at this huge wall of manga and go "*yawn* It all sounds like the same type of stuff." I think I need to spend more time there and give each of them a bit of a chance somehow, but whenever I read the summary I just go, "Seen that. Seen that. Seen that, and done much better," and then I feel like a horrible snob.

But none of it seems to MOVE me. It's just terrible. I want to like more manga again! Even stuff like W Juliet and Fruits Basket, which I used to LOVE... It is heart-breaking. So, I guess the only manga I'm following right now is Yotsuba &!, since Dramacon ended in December.

Let's see... Maybe if I think about the stories I like? It's sad that when I think of my all-time favorite manga (not anime) I can only come up with Azumanga Daioh, Yotsuba &!, Dramacon, and probably Fruits Basket. I wonder what it is that I'm looking for in a manga. I think I've just become a bit tired of seeing the same cliches over and over again. But that's sort of what I used to LIKE. What happened!? Am I getting old!? I have to be STOPPED.

Oooh, the Miami Dolphins play FOOTBALL. Well, then. Go team! I wonder if they're any good. I know jack about football and have zero interest in it...but I want my sweatshirt to win.
