AHAHAHA! Mom was right! Ok, so dad was being all huffy and annoying and snappy at me all week. Like yesterday when he was rude to me.
Me: *sees dad sitting dressed up on the couch, but it's the same clothes he was wearing earlier when he'd gone out* Are you coming to Olive Garden with us? *asks this cause it's supposed to be women only*
Dad: *snappy* DUH! Why do you think I'm sitting here dressed? -_-
Me: Jeez, sorry. -_-
Dad: Are you going too? -_-
Me: Yep. Is that a PROBLEM? -_-
Dad: As long as you finish whatever you order to eat. -_-
See? Well, before I used to try to cheer him up by spoiling him and bringing him food and trying to be extra nice. But then mom said "Just ignore him." So I did. MEANLY. Whenever I caught his eye I'd give him dirty looks and if I passed him by I ignored him and only joined in conversations to talk to MOM. It was a little painful cause I'm one of those people that think "Oh no...what if he dies in the next 4 minutes and the last thing I ever did was be mean to him?! He'll die thinking I hated him!" but...I stuck it out.
AND IT WORKED. I was eating and pointedly ignoring him still and then I looked at his table by chance (we were such a big group I wound up in a different table than him and mom. The kiddy table, of course -_-) and he caught my eye and...he SMILED AND WINKED at me. In an NOT MALICIOUS OR MEAN WAY. So...I cheesed out and smiled back. And he was pleasant the rest of the day.
I think he finally got the hint. -_- Now let's hope it LASTS.
P.S: I HATE AUGUST. Afternoon thunderstorms are already sucking big time.
