After reading my previous entry, my talk of the Mini Cooper seemed rather snooty.
Not like it matters, but a little background on getting the new car...
We decided to purchase a new car because the car she has now is old and we've been having numerous problems with it. The nail in the coffin for her car (Lady Death Trap as I like to call it) occured two weeks ago when were on our way to do some grocery shopping at Sam's Club when the breaks went out in the middle of traffic. We crashed into the guard rail instead of crashing into other cars and possibly hurting someone else. We were both fine, no injuries and the car wasn't badly damaged but we decided it was time to get rid of it. My mom's been into Mini Coopers for years and so we figured 'why the hell not.'
