Late last week we decided to have my sister's 18th birthday party this past Saturday. It turned out that everyone was free with only 2 days notice. Usually we give way more notice than that. Oh well. Her birthday isn't until the 4th, but whatever. We like to party anyway.
My parents and I went in together and got Tiffany a digital camera with a printer dock. Sadly, it won't adapt for my camera but that's ok. She loves it. While reading her book and stuff we discovered that we both have AV adapters and can essentially turn our TV into a liveview monitor! No more having people strain to see the tiny screens on our digital cameras. Just plug the camera into the tv and viola. I don't know why I didn't find my AV cord before, I guess I just assumed it was for my VCR. It's cool.
We had a party platter of sandwiches from Planet Sub delivered. They were so frickin good. That's my new favorite place to eat! I think there was a total of 18 people here. We ordered 24 sandwiches and only had 6 left. Not bad. The party itself was fun. It was a beautiful day so we made the rowdy boys go outside and play. But overall good times, as usual.
Victoria and I had an in depth discussion about the movie "Air Bud." It's quite obvious that nobody really ever listens to her when she talks. She's 3 going on 4...she's got all kinds of stuff to say! I think that's why she likes me, I actually listen to her.
I FINALLY got my rehire paperwork from my supervisor. I wasn't expecting what actually happened: she got me reappointed for a year. *picks up jaw off the floor* The appointment I am currently finishing was barely 5 months long. I think my lack of edits and current stats plus my incredibly dorky perfect attendance record is what bought me more time. My week-long break starts when I get off work on the 6th. Yay. I would have liked to have time off in the spring or summer, but I'll take what I've been given.
OK. Time for me to go to bed. I think I have to teach tonight. Among other very important projects.
