GUYS!
I'm so far behind, it kinda makes me sad. I'm gonna try harder. Here are some highlights from the past month:
- Quilt Bingo at Christ the King was way more involved than I realized. I knew it was a big deal to people who go, but wow! The church/school raked in the cash that day. It was very competitive too. I didn't win anything. So much fun, though. I'm going next year for sure. March 4th. Mark your calendars!
- Amanda had her baby. She looks tiny and cuddly. Not gonna lie, I kinda love her.
- Bri, Ashley (her baby Ethan), Roger and I had our lunch at Margarita's and caught up. It was awesome. And hilarious. I ended up calling Bri after we all parted ways and we had some more in-depth discussion. I miss her. :(
- The Overhaul stuff at work was canceled. Now we're all just waiting to find out what will happen when and if the new contract is approved? Passed? Whatever.
- I went over to Audra's and gave her Lena's banana bread recipe. And we baked some as her domestic lesson.
- My Tumblr buddy and I are basically bff now. We have a chitchat maybe once a week or so. She's so cute I almost can't stand it.
- I went back to Paint the Towne by myself a couple weeks ago. I kind of just wanted to do the painting that day but the event was a fundraiser for a co-owner who is running for a spot on the school board. Me and two others were the only ones who were NOT family and friends of the candidate. Whatevs. The next time I go in there the owner will know me by name. I helped her link together social networking accounts and felt very peer-pressure-y doing so. She was grateful, though. So that's good.
- My friends had a birthday party for their son, Kaleb. It was actually just kinda fun to go hang out with them and a few other friends I rarely see. And the kids are growing so fast! Apparently just this past week Kaleb and Morgan both have started walking on their own. Absolutely crazy!
- Lena and I have decided that we'll be going to Botanica at the end of April or early May when the tulips bloom. Most everything will be blooming by then, actually. I have been wanting to get my camera out for a while and I don't remember the last time I went to Botanica. That should be fun.
- Audra had a lego party during spring break. Her boyfriend has wanted to finish a project he started at the last one in January (2010) and finally did. I like that my friends have fun literally being big kids.
- Unfortunately KU lost their Elite 8 game. On the flip side, Wichita State won the NIT Championship!
- Angel and I met up with Carly yesterday for Panera, Under the Cork wine tasting (and buying) and an in-depth browse at Borders. Awesome for many reasons that I don't feel like typing now. lol
- Today I had another girl's day with Audra, Laila, Jeana and their friend Tonya. We went to Old Chicago and Orange Leaf and it was more good food, beverages, froyo, and lots of laughs.
On my agenda for the rest of this month...aka what you'll be reading about next time I pop in here:
- Morgan's 1st birthday next weekend
- Kenny Chesney in concert on the 13th. Billy Currington is with him!
- KU Barnstorming on the 15th - so pumped for that!
- Baby shower for another friend on the 16th
- Eli Young Band the 21st(?)
My desktop thermometer says it's 90 degrees outside. And it's windy as hell. I am tempted to go buy a kite, but I think I'd feel weird by myself and it'd probably be torn up immediately anyway. So that probably won't happen.
What a weird note to end on. Oh well. :)
